Well, I had no issue with reusing the old shims as the pads didn't come with new hardware.

Three negative points in resale. 1.3, Manual and old shape. If you plan to buy the car now go for 1.5 Auto it will give less loss in resale. If you already have the car then there will be no further loss in resale because it is already depreciated to its market value.

I don't think the resale would be affected for the older shape as the price of the newer model would be increased too. You may want to wait a little in case you don't get good offers for your older vehicle.

In my experience, the longer you hold on to your vehicle with top notch maintenance/repairs etc, you won't see much depreciation. I'm not one of those who try to change vehicles every six months or a year so I may have a bias for such things but I try to keep my car in best shape and hence I expect a bit of appreciation for my Honda city 2012 today more than I paid for it back then even with newer model in the market.

I hope everyone is fine here. Actually i need to have solution of my problem related to my City Aspire 2019, This is with me from day one and stays parked most of the time under the shaded garage. I always take very good care of my cars and use quality products like Meguairs, Chemcial guys, Turtle Wax and etc. Yesterday while cleaning the dashboard of my car, i found that the paint has been removed from the right corner of the AC vent. My car is hardly 6000km driven and it is really a heart breaking situation for me. I have heard about the fading dashboard but i was not expecting it that it will start fading so soon. Anyhow, i need to solve this issue as im too much conscious about my car.
Can anyone tell me from where i can get it repainted, putting a dashboard matt is out of question as i really dont like it, Please guide.

Use of chemicals to clean the dashboard destroy the paint. Actually, the quality of dashboard paint is very low and any organic solvent can fade it slowly. I use mostly a damp cloth to clean the dashboard and once a three months some good quality leather polish but a very small quantity. Avoid excessive use of chemicals on the dashboard.

Thanks for the suggestion sir but i believe these good reputable products are safe to use and obviously i have used it in minimal form and then again, this premature fading of paint speaks itself about the quality honda is offering.
What solution you recommend. Once i saw a person spraying the dashboard areas with a tiny spray gun
