AoA brothers need help regarding buying front brake pads for City IDSI 2008. Dont want to buy genuine ones as they are too expensive not in my budget. Best aftermarket ones.

The dug dug which you are hearing is from the Strut Mount they tend to break after hitting in potholes if the noise is only on bumps and potholes then get the Shock mount replaced for City 2008 it cost Rs 800 dont know cost for 2009 or above model.

Car feels heavy since 3 days. Acceleration is a bit sluggish other than that no issue. Engine oil was due so got it changed today. Driven my car 5200km on a single oil change.

AOA, my honda city AT steering fluctuates sometimes it is buttery smooth and sometimes it gets a bit harder ( on low speeds ) I can clearly feel the difference when making turns what could be the reason for it? has anyone faced a similar issue? if so please assist.

Please note that there's no EPS check light and the steering wheel returns back when turned so no issues there.

And has someone washed the steering rack with high pressure water?

aoa brother, Im not sure what palming means but if means to steer using palm then definitely I'm palming but what does it has to do with the fluctuations I'm experiencing? also I don't think rack has been washed with high pressure water.

if you palm the steering excessively - the motor overheats and the system goes into failsafe and reduces assist. Its not a very robust setup like the old hydraulic ones.

and also Honda city has an issue with the main heavy wiring connected to the steering rack in Pakistan. Its not a "Pakistani assembly fault" but a "Pakistani/Indian/Bangladeshi tradition fault" of washing the car with high pressure water or driving on flooded roads.

brother it might be because of palming but usually as soon as I turn it on I can feel the hardness also I'm plaming or using my palm to steer only when required so I don't think it should be an issue.

Can it be because of torque sensor maybe? can we clean torque sensor?

Dear i bought my car zero meter and in the begining i had faced similar problem but after driving about 25k km , and 2 or 3 time refreshing ecu with computer from dealership, the problem solved.

Connect a scan tool and recalibrate the eps, then check on live data what the torque sensor is reading and how much amps is the motor consuming.

Btw, there is no such thing as cleaning torque sensor.
