I think the moral of the story is to change the Clutch bearing when you are changing the Clutch Plate. What do you say? Because the cost of clutch bearing is not so much as compared to the cost of clutch plate and labour. Plus it can give you a very difficult time on long routes, specially when you are with family.

You got off very cheap with the clutch thing, actually my rides clutch bearin starting whinning way back when the car was around 60k....just a couple of weeks ago around 95+ it finally gave way. Only during the process of engaging the clutch would it start it`s dhamal. So yer mechanic was right it does run thousands before giving way. When i got my car to Honda, literally got my shocks paying the bill....pressure plate,clutch plate, bearing and gear oil changed cost 26k....working fine now though.

i went to honda breeze multan, they said they ll take 2 days AND a total of 25k PKR to do this job. 19500rs for clutch set and 5500rs as labour. both the time and cash they asked for was too much for me as i had to leave back to sargodha the same day.plus, i wud ve never got it done from them even if they would give me back the same day.do u know why?

Theres a company called F.C.C, it makes clutch plates for honda city and sells them in open market.the same company supplies its clutch plates to Honda Atlas, this means that both of them are exactly the same thing, so basically u are paying more then twice the amount for nothing more at all. This is why i wud nt have got the job done from honda people.
secondly, i (and many of my friends) have a lot of bad experience with the labour of honda guys.mechanics there arent usually well trained.thats why i just stay away!

What is written in manual about clutch lubricant replacement because brake oil is also replaced so I dont see any problem in replacing clutch oil if done by honda

i ll have to confirm but i guess its 120,000kms.

On my cars bonnet there is a sticker which said I think 50,000-100,000kms to replace coolant cant confirm because the cars is not with me

My car is very smooth on CNG but the problem is that on conversion until I dont press the accelerator the car shuts off means that its idle on 750-800 rpms on petrol when I press the conversion switch at this rpm when it tries to convert it shuts off but when increase the rpm to 2500-3000rpm i.e accelerate it at the time of conversion it converts fine. Is this normal or their is some problem with my car

theres some problem with ur car.it should not turn off while conversion.ur car probably needs tuning.

i didnt change it at time i did that today(@192,000kms), because a lot of water/coolent mixture was wasted due to opening of radiator pipes for replacement of clutch plate.so i got a 1ltr bottle of coolant today, drained 1.5ltr out of the radiator and poured in the coolant.

if the coolant in ur radiator is in 40 (coolant) 60 (water) ratio, i dont think u need to replace it.if it gets dilute, u should get some.

i got guard coolant, it was a 1ltr bottle for 240rs.if u drain all the water from the water lines,then put 1.5lrs of coolant in it.what i did is that i just took off the upper pipe on the radiator and got out around 1ltr of water and poured 1ltr of coolant into it.
and oh, make sure u wash down the radiator lines before u pour in the coolant. i.e. if u flush all the water out of it.

round speakers,smaller ones.i got them installed in my car a few weeks back.i think they were 6 inchs or so.got them for 800rs plus 2400rs for rear speakers (sony xplode) sound is good enough for me with 4 speakers.

3200 is for all 4 are they chinnese ones because no single speaker cost less than 1800-1500 so for four speakers good one you need atleast 6000-7000 for speakers and rest labour

exactly! they are chinese.
to be honest,i dont know HECK about sound systems im not even a fan of biiggg heavyyy booommm booomm stuff... for now, these 4 speakers are enough for me.thats why i didnt want to spend more on original ones.

iridium ones are performance oriented plugs.u can get them but make sure they are EXACT spec (contact @accord in ssteermatic fan club).u ll get the exact model of plugs from @accord as he got them in his steermatic and was very satisfied.i guess it costed him 1100rs/piece at that time and were supplied to him by @jz.
if u dont want to spend that much, 1 tip platinum are good enough.
btw, dont expect a lot of performance upgrade by just installing better plugs.u would feel just marginal increase in performance.

Ahmad, yar ive had a very different experience with Honda people. hands down they charge more, i wont argue on that. The rates you have quoted are same ones i got for my car, although i got my car back in a matter of 4 hours, all work done an ready to drive. They handed back the my aamal nama of past 5 years. ( pair of burnt clutch plates,burnt pressure plates and finally the pluraled clutch bearing) Bro my car is maintained from day one by only an only one dealership. Its about to touch the magical 100k an theres never been a single fault in it. Try gettin hold of the senior guys, who have been employed there for a while. I have selected guys at honda who take care of my ride. All my friends rides, be it civic or city are maintained from there. Never had trouble.

Honda Fort, the one on Queens Road. Weve been going there since 97. All of my previous an current Hondas are maintained from there.But once again i`m repeating the trick here is to get hold of the senior players, small time ballers are ok, but they just dont cut it.

I second the opinion of maintaining car through dealers ONLY. In Karachi their services & quality of work are outstanding ( My previous Cuore was maintained throughout by Toyota Dealer . However, in 3 years there was NO repair work done on it except for change of fuel filter ). They do charge more but peace of mind is enough to spend some money rather to explore mechanics.

Here in Karachi both TOYOTA & HONDA Dealers allow you to take a view of repairs being done on your car. Even at TOYOTA the seating arrangement was such that you can actually look to your car maintainance procedure in front of you and can ask / communicate with guys performing the task. ( I usually keep on standing there ) while my car got serviced / tunned at HONDA.
