Honda city 2006 model ke thori drive k baad eps light on ho jati hai aur sterling hard ho jata hai computer se fault khtam ho jata hai lakin thori dair baad phir aa jata hai

Needs to get it checked. May be there is some issue in electric motor of power steering or problem with rack & pinion

There could also be interruption in power supply to motor that's why steering getting hard. Needs checking by some good technician

Honda City 1.5 (Non Aspire)
Model 2022
Mileage: 33000 KMs

I bought this car around three months back and went for an oil change today.
I realized that,

There was oil on outside at the base of engine oil chamber.
The base cover had a 6x6 inches mark indicating dripping oil and accumulating there.
However the oil level has never dropped in last 3 months.
The mechanic said that, the seals of engine oil chamber are fresh hence it seems as if it has been changed.
The metallic color of engine chamber was different from rest of the engine hence, different age.
Please guide how bad is it and is there any decent remedy for this. I do not like the idea of opening up the engine of a new car for repairs.

One option is to sell the car
The other option is to get into it, remove engine oil chamber, freshen up the seals and reinstall it.

small general queries. my car is Honda city 2016 MT 1.3 101k kms done.

1. is honda genuine oil filter good for two oil changes of 5k kms each or one extended oil change of 9-10k kms?

2. genuine honda air filter or any other lower cost one is good to go? if using genuine, then how long it is to be used considering dusty environment of Karachi?

3. fully synthetic Honda oil 5w30 good to go for 7-8k kms?

4. we get 4L packing of oils generally (non honda oil), can it be poured fully instead of 3.7L? any issues or seal leaking?

Change Oil filter and air filter at 5000km along with oil change.
Pour fully synthetic oils of any known brand like shell,total,Caltex,PSO etc.
Most of the well known oil change places will charge you for 3.7 liter out of 4 liters can.
Always pour 3.7 liter as advised by the manufacturer.
You can use Guard filters these are good enough if orignal.
If you still prefer japanese of premium Quality filter than use Genuine Air filter for 10k(every second oil change) and VIC(japanese very good Quality oil filter on every oil change.if VIC not available than use Genuine oil filter but still change at every oil change.

My Honda City 18 trunk opening wires/hinges have become very loose from last 1 month. Upon opening the trunk to the max, it doesn't stay there and comes down immediately it has injured my head couple of times in last 10 days. Mechanic says it has 2 wires and these cannot be bent or pulled, so no juggarr except kabuli spares etc. I have installed a namda carpet from last 4yrs, mechanic says to remove that namda carpet and then expect the trunk to stay upright.Please guide any solution.JazakAllah

Hi everyone,
My Honda City 2004 idsi having some issue with the steering. Sometimes it gets tightened and difficult to control with higher speed. This issue comes after driving some km or after starting the engine and wait for about 10 minutes. Not always happens.
Can anybody advise me what to do?
Mechanics also cannot find a reason for this.

I am here to rant about Honda City 2017 model. The suspension is stiff, & the space is not that much to accomodate 3 persons in the back seat. The seats are hard, & due to the stiff suspension & low height it is very difficult to pass the speedbreakers without touching the lower body with breaker. What are your thoughts?

if right is sticking, means not braking effectively, the left is braking harder. So will pull you left.

I thought to mention if you have a leak from the VTEC solenoid, that mechanics here like to use silicone gasket maker to seal it up. There is no need for it, get the genuine seal and evenly tighten it. This is the proper way. Main gasket genuine part cost Rs11,620.
