So I just had me Honda City 2006 idsi wrecked right outside my home yesterday. So what happened was my brother was going out to purchase some stuff and he sat in the car and just as he pushed the accelerator to get moving somehow his foot got stuck into the accelerator and drove the car right into the front grill of our neighbor, breaking their garden grill, the pavement and some part of the bench they had installed outside. There were also two hawkers sitting on the bench and one of them had his 4 year old kid with him and by the grace of Allah the kid and these people escaped by inches getting crushed.
So what actually happened was his foot got stuck on accelerator due to the floor matt the transparent Chinese ones available in market with bubbles. Somehow it got jammed in-between his foot and accelerator and before he could free it this happened. I can definitely relate to this because this had happened to me twice and both the times I had managed to free my foot quickly and I should have remove these then but didn't.
So my home CCTV captured the accident which you can watch below and also attached is the pic of exterior damage. Internally the radiator had bend and shifted ahead like 3 inches and the bonut lock also got damaged rest everything is fine. So I see this cheap matt in almost all cars these days and when this accident happened most of the poeple who saw this passing by shared the same story with me that these matt`s have also caused similar issues with them so I guess people should be ware of this as this could lead to some serious damage and injuries to your property, life and others as well.
