My car is Honda City 1.3 manual, 2014 model. Over the last couple of months its clutch has gotten really stiff. It is working fine. There is no issue in pick or anything else. Just the pedal has gotten very stiff and it takes a lot of effort to push it down. So much so that it is causing me pain in the knee. Also it is relatively ok when the car is started but as it is driven it becomes harder. After about 14-15 kilometers it is almost unbearable.
I showed the car to a mechanic he said that clutch pressure plate is the problem. Have checked the clutch fluid it is complete and up to the mark.
I wanted to know can there be something else that is the problem ? And in case the pressure plate is the issue, do i need to only change that or will the clutch plates be changed as well. Also any suggestion good mechanic in isb / rwp who can do this work in reasonable price.
