Honda City Hard Gear in the morning

@All Pakwheelers, im facing an issue in my city for almost a month. Its gear is getting stuck while switching to & from 2nd gear in the morning when the car is cold. The problem disappears when keep driving car for almost 30 minutes. My car has been driven 66,000 kms. I have recently changed gear oil (original Honda MTF )from Honda Gateway, but poblem still persists in the morning. Honda guys told me to properly heat engine for atleast 5 to 10 minutes before taking my car out of garage. I did so, but still i feel some hardness in gear shift. Need your advise guys.

AOA.. bahiyon did you find any solution?? my honda odo is at 120k now, this 2nd gear problem started when odo was at 66k and i changed the gear oil for the first time from honda classic in isb, in summers gears are fine and smooth, in winter it takes almost 10 12 km of driving till they get smooth. i recently changed gear oil again but same issue this winter. ab tou phela gear bhi phas kar nikalta hai as if clutch is not disconencting it properly .i think honda gear oil is thick when its gets hot things are fine. because i showed the gear oil which i changed at 66k to a market misteri he said its thick..i dont know honda says gear kholna paray ga.they dont even have the faintest idea or might be a fault which they dont want to mention. one thing which i have figured out is that theres a lever at engine side which movies when you press clutch. one guy said it needs greasing but in order to grease it they will have to open whole gear. so honda guy used wd40 for temporarly oiling. there was a slight change in shifting but that was start of winter so cant figure out if that was the problem. anyways..did anyone of you find a solution do post it.because if gear box khulwaya for sure they will say sir ye ye part change kar dein its a good 50k daz

Have you tried the engine oil change to correct viscosity. I know the transmission is the concern but what it's driving could also be a matter of concern

No solution till now. Let's see if we get a workable fix. Its typical of honda 3a morons. Gear phans rha ha, gear box change ho ga lolz. My gear box has been responding this way since day 1. Day 1 p he gear box change kra lena chahiye th

i think that this city has a hydraulic clutch.

when was the last time you changed the clutch cylinder oil and bled it properly?

there is also some adjustment available in the clutch pedal to ensure your clutch is fully pressed

The only solution for this issue is to warm your engine enough for around 7 to 10 min whenever you go outside early in the morning or late in the evening or night. Then switch off the ignition & restart your car after about 2 min. I hope you will feel better gear response.

I have a 2015 and i am not sure what "hard gear" means to you - but i am used to it.. Maybe you are not rev-matching correctly or timing the gear shift correctly.. Try accelerating to 3k rpms or higher press the clutch for a few seconds until rpms drops to 1 - keep pressing the clutch while car is moving on its own - then try shifting gears from 1 to 2 and so on - see if its still stuck.

Park the car and turn off the engine. (No handbrake)
Press the clutch and shift gear and see if its still hard.
Both on cold and hot engine. Then report back.

You may just have air in the clutch and need clutch hydraulic fluid replaced. When i replaced mine the clutch was back to being super smooth and since then im changing gears like rusmalai.
