Honda City having race problems

I dont know how to explain it to the mechanic but I when I press the acceleration I sometimes feel I have to push harder to get the race to increase.

I want the race to be smooth and sensitive so upon a small force to the acceleration , I get a response.

What do you guys think is the problem and what should I tell the mechanic?

Get your throttle mechanism adjusted

Sometimes I also feel the same with my city 2016 model. There is no throttle cable and the car is drive by wire. I think throttle body cleaning might do the job, experts can suggest solution.

if car odometer is above the 40k kms then clean the throttle and CAT

You need to check at least following:

1. Throttle Body
2. Catalytic Converter
3. Also check for spark plugs, air filter, and fuel supply system too (fuel pump, fuel injectors, etc.)

Did you get your vehicle scanned too? Did any error code popped up on the diagnostics tool?

YES. You need to go to some good garage / competent mechanic, who has good Diagnostics Tool.

He will connect it with your car, and run scanning for any fault codes. If there will be some error codes, they'll show on the tool, so that remedial actions are taken accordingly.

But 1st, check the other things mentioned above, like Throttle Body, Cat. Conv., etc.
