Honda city hits on speed brakers

i have honda city 2009 . when i cross over a bit steep speed braker its mud slasher hits the braker . problem is that i feel like it hits from driver seat side only.has anyone ever noticed that?

I don't a city but to prevent hitting from the bottom, you should go diagonally across the speed breaker.The idea is that while going across a speed breaker,no two tires touch the speed breaker at the same instant.

yar yeh 2009 city mei problem hai it have low road clereance har speed braker par neche lagti hai even agar hum 10km/h ki speed se cross kare

its NOT low on ground clearence...the clearence is same as the old city......which is 160mm...its either the speed breaker...or ur car has cng cylinder in it(wid no modds done to lift it up .)

Yes, that true but one can cross most of the speed breakers at dead slow speed to avoid hitting beneath. That's true for most of the imported cars as well.

160mm is the lowest part of the car's undercarriage.nothing is below it.The poster must have cng kit which decreases the clearence by approx. 1-1.5inches.

theres a way to increase the ride height back to the original position, though its desi totka but works. go to some desi suspension mechanic and ask him to put spacer between the chassis and rear suspension spring.that wud increase the ride height but will also make the ride harder.

thats what most ppl do and what actually works ... !!! on a high and large speed breaker where u fear ur car will touch the road, go a little bit diagonally at very slow speeds.this way u make sure that almost all 4 tyres enter and exit the speed breaker with a little gap hence no part of under carriage is too low.

This often happens with Hondas, because there is no check for Speed Breakers. Any Tom, Dick & Harry can get a Speed Breaker made in front of his house without any permission or check, therefore most Speed Breakers are unusually high or stupidly made.

After having in a CNG cylinder, one should get their car's a bit higher from rear. Because when loaded with passengers, car gets even lower of course. And it is bound to hit the Breaker.

I have noticed this a good number of times. And the sound is very scary.

My solution is to go 'extremely slowly' over the speed breakers. This almost always works for me.

Cross the speed breakers diagonally and dead slow.
I've the same problem with my Vitz, really effective solution.
