Honda city idsi ac performance in summer

I am thinking to upgrade from cultus efi to Honda city idsi (2003-2007). My requirements is reliable car with good AC.

But during my recent tour to Lahore I noticed that most of the honda city idsi on motorway and in Lahore city were with open windows( It means their AC were turn off).

I want to know the reason from the city IDSI users. What about the AC performance in hot summer?

its an old model now
most cars are abused with engines changed by now
can be unkept cars or middle class saving money
else no issue of AC in this model

It depends on maintenance. I sat in brand new i-DSIs back in the day - they were excellent.

Old cars just need proper maintenance - my 28 year old Khyber has a vent temperature of ~8 degrees while travelling on the motorway.

IDSI has a very good AC but ac system should be in good condition.

This car came without cabin filter thats the reason the cooling coils gets dirty which eventually decreases the throw, if serviced properly its actually pretty good.

You can add cabin filter. Space is there and filter available on Aliexpress along with tray.

I had Steermatic I did that DIY.

i have steermatic and ac works great.. the blowr speed is like 747 plane

My City AC not cooling on Idle but do cool a lil bit while driving or idling high. Compressor is producing noise.
