Honda city idsi verio engine change updated on book

Salam to all..
I found a Honda city idsi verio but it has its engine changed updated on book, I want to know if this particular variant has issues with the engine.?
Should I go for it or not, is there any complications if the engine gets changed and has it gets any effect on compatibility, resale or market price. Please comment. Thanks

For some odd readon, the MOST engine changed car in pakistan is Honda City : (

every second Honda City you see has engine changed... can't figure out why : ( either the engine design is weak or most owners did not take proper care of it.. but why this car is on the top ?

personally i also think it affects resale value and can cause trouble in future... however, mechanics actually prefer engine change over overhauling the engine... and some people told me it's okay to buy engine changed cars if they are in good condition and proper paperwork is done, no issue ... however, i still have a skeptical view about it ..

Their was a time when this engine assembly costed costed rs. 25000 to 45,000

Which was alot cheaper then rebuilding the engine.

So alot of Honda City IDSi with changed engine assemblies.

The reason is people putting in 20w50 oil and not doing PM on time. Which results in engine degradation. Thr Euro3 idsi engine was ahead of its time and used to knock on graded fuel. Third reason is the improper installation of CNG in the 2000s

After changing the assembly it would lose 125k to 150k in value so that's not a great option,

theirs is nothing like that now. the market perception has changed. a car is sold on its condition not change of engine.

My friends brand new BMW X1 had a blown up engine on only 9000 km because of desi petrol, The engine was changed under warranty. It didnt loose anything.

new mechanics and new people avoid wrongly rebuilding engine and replaceing them instead.

an engine should be considered as a part of the car only, If needed should be replaced rather then rebuilding it wrongly.
