I have bought a new honda city and the thing which irritates me is that its immobilizer is in key-chain.Now I can't even try any other key-chain for the entire life of this car. There are multiple scenarios which come in my mind, such as:
- what if someone looses the key-chain?
- This keychain doesn't look reliable and long-lasting.
- What difficulty they had in putting this immobilizer in key-head
- While selfing the car, this keychain should be hanging with the key otherwise car won't start
- Is there any better way to prevent this?
- Is there any after market way to move it in the key-head?

you can probably cut the key chain to get the transponder chip and put it another key, maybe knife style key. I cut my regular civic (8th) key and got the transporter key. Then I put the transponder in the jackknife shell I had got from aliexpress.

Check what is inside keychain. You may need to put it in jackknife style key

I have this one. If you search flip car key shell then u will get many, will have to see which one suits u. I believe it should be also available locally but not sure from where. I opened my remote key and put its assembly inside this shell. And got the blank key in the shell cut from from honda.

is it available somewhere in Pakistan. need to get one. the Honda Cheapsters arent installing the immobilisers here in the key head or the remote. its a very simple thing but they dont want to spend Rs0.00001 for their customers. The quality of their remote is very poor. its very fragile. You guys can compare it with that of the Suzuki Wagonor (very robust one) which is 1000 times better than that of Honda city one. I think Suzuki is getting better and Honda is getting worst and cheap with the passage of time
