Honda has the worst after sales representation. They don't even read the emails, let alone respond to them.

The keyless one can be made, but I don't the OEM one has room in it for the immobilizer chip. The best option is get a Chinese jackhammer type key with the same frequency transponder as the OEM one so it can be programmed and the immobilizer chip can be placed inside it.

You have searched and done a great job in getting all friends here out of problem for which at least i am very much thankful although i don't have city at the moment but have friends to whom i can advise.

But the question is that after buying such an expensive car do we need to get worried to spend some extra 5 to 10 k for this key immob and put 2 keys in the car. one for keyless locking / unlocking and other for the ignition. At-least we must have to made Honda realize their mistake so that they can rectify / modify it.

Yes definitely we should take this up with Honda. But they are so shameless and stubborn I doubt they will resolve this. They didn't even want to add immobilizer in City but they did because of the new auto policy enforced by the government in 2016 (correct me if I'm wrong).
When dealer handed me over the keys, I asked him why didn't Honda put this in the key instead of this stupid theli to which he responed, "Sir honda ne chabian pehlay se banwai hui hain bulk main, tou wo zaya ho jayein gi agar key redesign kar k immobilizer iskay andar rakhein"

I told him, that in my opinion Honda is no better than Suzuki if this was the reason that they didn't put the chip inside the key and it was very cheap of Honda to do so.

That is too much. Honestly, i think that guu was a total rip off. Tracking world charged me 1400 only for a brand new theli which included reprogramming as well. I will update soon inshaAllah when i fit this immobi crap into another key.

Obviously, it's unfair. An aspire which costs more than 20 lakh comes without airbags but has cheap home made wooden trim and a poor navigation unit. Honda City is just like an orphan child right now for atlas honda, they literally don't give a dam.

And Please Tell me the exact procedure and costing that you went through at tracking world? Is it the same immobi being used for all honda city cars?

Use the spare key and take your car to tracking world, i am guessing you have one. Yes, they are the ones who supply this crap to Honda so don't worry you'll get the original immobi bag. They are official Honda vendors.

So it finally happened. I was waiting when this crappy Immobi theli would stop working and today, it did and I got stranded.
Luckily I had a spare key with a rfid chip made (as mentioned above in the thread).
I know Honda has the worst complaint and aftersales as they don't even have any official forum or reply to emails. But I'm so pissed about this. What do you guys suggest? How can we make Honda notice this as I reckon it must be happening to a lot of people or will happen eventually.

ask honda to hotwire the car and bypass the immobilizer permanently...it is of no use if not implemented correctly and there are other ways to protect the car....there is just one short circuitong they have to do in the ecu and the car is hotwired....after that the car can run using normal key....

Yes, I have been thinking about that. Better than being stranded on the road. I don't want to tinker with the wiring though.
A person at Honda Margalla Islamabad told me that the new city is equipped with a proper immobilizer (don't know if it's true yet). I asked him if they could install it on mine but it would cost almost 60K because all the lock cylinders would have to be changed as well.
I'm going to email Honda International on as many complaint email IDs as I can find to report Honda Atlas and the junk they are selling as immobilizer. This is a rip off.

When i got my car delivered. The person told me that the immobilizer bag needs to be exactly in front of the sensor which is near the place of entering the key. He told me k agr kabhi gari start na ho to immobilizer ko thora sa ooper neechay karain aur sensor detect kr le ga phr start ho jayay gi!! I thought it as a mere story but yesterday it happened with me and by slightly moving the bag it got started easily​ Don't know if they didnt told you or if it didnt work for you. It's purpose is so that the car starts only when the immobilizer is placed at its place and not somewhere near it.

The immobilizer coil is located inside the steering base right below the ignition (this is right next to where the chip pouch/keyring hangs). If there are other keys or the keyring is far from this place, the car won't start and you'd have to adjust/move the keyring, as you mentioned.
In my case, the chip inside the keyring got faulty. So nothing can be done about that except use the spare key and get the immobilizer pouch changed from tracking world.

also in key there is 4 key option
Open lock
Close lock
Panic

But just only 2 button installed and other were removed?
Can i take back in service these two buttons?

What i have noticed is that you insert the key. Turn it to 2nd Start and then wait until the whole dash lights up then start it.
