Honda City RPM 1.5 Aspire

My honda city rpm at 120 is about 3850, Is this Normal for Honda City Aspire 1.5 manual. Just wanted to have expert opinion on this, What other 1.5 manual have rpm on 120

For manual, Yes it's normal.
Prosmatic City's RPMs are low as compared to the Manual.

For city 1.5MT, this is about normal. City 1.5Pt cruises at around 2500 rpm at 120 kph.

Too much RPM difference between MT and AT. 3800 vs 2500 RPM? I'll check my 1.3 MT City and give my feedback.

Honda really should have given a 6th gear in city mt. I travel on motorways a lot, and this is the sole reason I got city in auto and not manual.

Honda manuals have traditionally been low geared - it's to make up for their lack of low end torque.

It also makes sure that the driver doesn't have to downshift when overtaking at high speeds, or climbing hills. Personally, I don't mind changing gears often - that's the fun part about driving a manual - but the average consumer doesn't like to change gears frequently.

Manual sales have been declining in Pakistan anyways; Honda probably doesn't see a point introducing 6 speed manuals when everyone is moving on to CVTs anyways (ignoring the fact that it's a stupid, useless transmission type.)

Honda's not having low end torque and esp these engines. I dont think so.

Its more of a design feature to make the gear / shafts safe from any human error.
