Honda City wipers

Hi guys,
I own a Honda City 2015. It’s been 2 years and 29k mileage. I haven’t changed wipers rubber. Someone suggested that I should change it every two years else it will scratch wind screen. What’s your opinion. If I have to change it then what’s better place, Honda Centre or outside market. Please also suggest some decent shop in Rawalpindi saddar.

physically inspect the wiper blades, if they are fine, let them be. If they have tears or seem worn out, replace them.
Until they are fine and have no nicks or cuts on them, you should be fine
I say get em from honda. oem stuff. peace of mind. You wont be able to find oem blades from the market.

OEM are pretty good. If you haved used much or car did not have long sun exposures than chances are they must be fine. Do as fellow pakwheeler said. Buy the way OEM new pair cost you ( not sure) i think around 5 to 6k

OEM only rubber is about 1200-1300 for one side, made in thailand (honda). Local rubber dont last long.

Thanks guys. I think blades are fine and if there’s any wear/tear; it should be in rubber. Rubber shouldn’t be 5-6k expensive or is it? Normally when I talk to people they say to stay away from Honda Centre with respect to these parts as costs are exaggerated. In the same context I was planning to upgrade battery and a friend suggested to buy a 40 or 50 AH battery from outside market instead of 35 AH standard Honda City battery from Honda Centre.

I asked the price of wiper blades (rubber) from Honda for my Civic and they quoted 3k for the blades. Got them replaced by a local car auto parts center in DHA Lahore for 500 PKR and they are working the same as the genuine ones.

I replaced 2 sets in 4 years from 2012 to 2016 due to daily sun exposure. Butter smooth. Not even a single scratch or blemish on wind screen.

Will cost you Rs. 2450/- rubber only. Rubbers are needed not the complete assembly which costs Rs. 5600/-
