i own civic x 1.8 2017 and sportage fwd i just bought after selling my grande. It depends on the usage, if it's city roads then a sedan is more fun to drive, but civic x 1.8 has a lot of lag in performance, and it is not the latest gen now. Sportage i think is better, solid vehicle and it has build its market nicely. Will be easy to sell as well. late models of civic x are a little difficult to sell since people demand more than 50 and there are a lot more options in that bracket then.
Sportage on the other hand not that fun to drive, but a all round vehicle, very very good ground clearance, good engine, gear is okish. Can take you pretty much anywhere, civic x is quite low.
