Anyone having budget of 1 car can buy the other, its simple maths. Now people having either father's car or having some inferiority complex, spends time on such new users creation. Used car importers are seeking clearance of more than 7,000 cars held up at Karachi port imported in violation of procedures.
7000 cars means 10.5B rupees (15lacs car price on average) of showroom owners and dealers money stuck in port. Think about it if this will release, then how much economy will boost for small dealers. I personally know someone whom 4 cars stuck on it and he lost every thing including his house to deliver back money to investors.
Those who are considering them complete violation, it is not the case since there is a lag in process, some orders cars in 2016~2017 and these arrive in 2018 when new restrictions imposed. No one is that stupid to book a car without knowing the rules here. I can bet there is not a single car among them import in 2019.

PTI government should release these cars and allow people to use their money.

My experience with Civic 2017:

AC evaporator leaked after 3 years, 40000 km. Replacement cost 18000, 5 hours work, whole dashboard had to be stripped.

Lead acid battery lasts 2 years, but gel battery lasted 10 months only.

No other problem so far. Driven 42000 km.

I have a Sep, 2017 Civic X the steering rack is making noises on full turns and it has just 20000kms on the odo. Stays mostly parked.
Its out of warranty so no luck there.

Any desi way to get this piece of junk repaired?
