Honda Civic 1995 Mechanic Karachi

Hi guys,

I have a 1995 Civic (Dolphin) and I'm looking for a good mechanic for general maintenance and tuning work. Preferably someone who specializes in this car would be great. My main problem is the fuel consumption.

My car has its own original engine, manual and its currently giving me 7 (max 7.5) KM/L which is really low even by 1995 standards. I got the carburettor checked and repaired from a well known guy in bahadarabad (Rehman) and it runs fine after that, just the mileage is the issue.

I love driving this car but hate to have to spend so much on fuel. Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.

carb needs adjustment because it is the heart which runs on fuel.
you need to check upon jamshed road for a honda guy name shafqat. due to jail nearby cell phones are useless there.

I actually ran into someone there who had the same car and told me to get my carb checked by someone named Tahir on Jamshed road. I will lookout for Shafqat as well when i go. Is he a honda specialist?

Don't throw your money on the carb, this is the best mileage that you will get, maybe a km more but that's about it. I had the same engine, spent ages trying to find a competent carb mechanic in KHI, experimented with a few, just made things worse for the car. Drive it like it is until you want to swap to an efi engine. Drive with a light foot and you might get 1-2 kms more out of a liter.

Dam, that sucks! I really love driving this car but cant afford the fuel costs

Anyway i'll give the jamshed road guy a try and if that doesnt work out then i guess it is what it is.
