yeah. but i don't have a scanner with me now a days. you can get it scanner from any workshop and share the data. i can't refer you to someone as i don't take my car to mechanic.

Which one you are planning to purchase as I purchase ancel scanner but it doesn't work in my car tried multiple apps.
There no issue with scanner as it works with my friend car nissan days

Which we ECU you are using now a days, it's really headache for me too. Might be I will replace the ecu but first I need to diagnose some stuff.

bumping an old thread..

i have same iacv.

the car is my old civic, discussed in other threads as well. the engine is in factory condition. nothing replaced or aftermarket.

issue happened suddenly and for no apparent reason. car is stuck in high idle. approx 1300-1400 rpm.

before it went to fast idle when car was cold, and returned to normal 800 rpm when it got to operating temperature.

now it just goes to fast idle and stays there.

the car temperature sensor works fine. needle is working fine, fan is turning on automatically.

i have hondash scanner, its showing the temperature correctly as well. so i think its not a sensor issue.

i have cleaned the throttle body 2-3 times. cleaned the iacv as well. everything is squeaky clean. the iacv is rotating freely, no carbon buildup at all. cleaned it really good.

strangely the hondash shows 0% duty cycle iacv on idle condition. but shows some different figures when the engine is revved or normally driven.

what values i should be looking for?

how should i go about diagnosing it and not just throwing parts at it.

Can you check the pwm signals from ecu to iacv?
Duty cycle changes with rev.
What is the idle with iacv connector off?

only have multi meter and hondash scanner. no osilloscope

Also does iacv respondents to electronic load?

nope no duty cycle option.

how can i put electronic load on the iacv.

meaning i put some voltage across its pins and see if something happens?

You can also use " Hz %" frequency on multimeter.
By electronic load i means headlights etc.
As idle works in close loop system. Ecu continually adjust iacv to maintain rpm.
Not like that. You will also need to provide pwm signals to rotate iacv.
