I wanted to get advice on buying new tyres for my Honda Civic 1998. I am currently using the OEM 14 inch alloy wheels that come from the factory. I have settled for 185/65/R14, which is the OEM Tyre profile as well.
I need some help picking which Tyre is best for comfort+road grip. The tyre should have minimal noise and my budget is around 15k (60k).
So far i have found these tyres in the local market:
1) General Tyres 185/65/R14 for 13,500 Rupees.
2) Ling Long 185/65/R14 for 15,500 Rupees.
3) Zextour 175/70/R14 for 13,500 Rupees.
I personally am thinking about getting GTR but i have seen reviews for GTR being too hard and too noisy which is not ideal. On the other hand, Chinese tyres have a mixed reputation with some people claiming tyre bursts after 20k kms and bad condition of tyres due to smuggling.
Thankyou for your attention and please help me pick a good brand for my tyres. Im open to suggestion for the tyre profile as well. My goal is to have minimal road noise and efficient fuel average + road grip as i usually corner at moderate-high speeds where an ordinary tyre would fail.
