Hi everyone
So i have a honda civic 2000 vti oriel manual.
I recently got its throttle body cleaned because car was hesitating at lower rpms when driven for longer period of times.
After that, I’m getting a problem.
Before, on cold start, my rpms used to go up and down until the temperature gauge reached on the start of the cold indicator and then rpm become stable at 700.
Now what happens is that, my rpm keeps going between 1000-2000 until temperature gauge goes to middle, then my rpms get stable.
Also, the coolant in my reservoir bottle is getting empty faster than before i.e. on small drives usually for 20-30 kms.
My mechanic tells me its normal, but I’m confused since i start driving when needle goes up a bit and it keeps fluctuating when car is on idle until the gauge goes to middle.
If anyone can guide me on this then that would be very helpful.
