Honda Civic 2003, Petrol Consumption

HI,

I Have Honda Civic 2003 Prosmatic Vti Orial, But I Am Facing Issue With Petrol Consumption,
I Purchased it around 8-9 Months Ago And The Car Was Giving An Average Of 5.5-6 km/ltr As The Engine Had Already Done 180,000 Km and was driven on CNG too,
After Buying The First Thing I Did Was i Disconnect CNG,
But The AVG remain same,
I Did The Following things For Better AVG

                • Changed Plugs
                • Changed Coils
                • Changed Gear Oil
                • Changed Engine Oil
                • Computerized Engine Tuning

But Even After All This There Was No Major Difference In Consumption As It Was Still Not More Than 6.5 km/Ltr
So I Got The Engine Completely Changed So After Getting Frustrated From This Consumption Issue I Changed The Engine And Installed 1500CC Engine In My Car, After Installing This New Engine Initially The Car Was Giving 7.5 - 8 km/ltr without computerized tuning, but than i went of city for 3 weeks and when i came back again the same problem started
Again My Car Is Giving Mileage not More than 6.5 km/Ltr even after the Computerized Tuning,

Please Suggest What Should I Do To Get Better Fuel Average.

Hello,

I also have Honda Civic 2003 VTI Prosmatic and having same fuel consumption like yours. Its done max 6km/ltr in city but on highway its done 10.5km/ltr. Honda says it should be around 12km in city and 16km on highway. I have checked everything including, fuel injectors, plugs, valve clearance, fuel pump pressure, fuel filter etc but its not achieving the required fuel average. can you describe what they perform in computerized tuning? even in civic manual I couldn't find any tuning procedure to fine tune the fuel consumption through ECM.

You are going to dumb mechanics who are ripping you off this car in proper tune should give around 9-10km/l.

Your mechanic is ripping you off. My engine has done 160k and is giving 12Km/L on highays and 9km/L local.
Get it tuned from Honda and it will fix the issue

Which engine you installed, have you changed its ecu as well??

I Took It To Honda Nazimabad But They Are Unable To Solve This Issue,

You changed complete engine or head assembly only. Which D15 variant you got exactly. Your original engine was D16W9 a 1.6 litre vtec engine. Whereas you got D15, most of the D15 are old engines except D15Y3, I am positive you haven't got it, as it came in exi in Pak, UAE and South Africa only.

Most likely its due to wrong ecu you are using. Plz share your engine code.
