I bought my Civic a month ago and it had check Engine light on. A friend of mine suggested to disconnect the battery and connect it again to see if the light goes off on its own. I did that but it didn't help so I had to take it to Honda Workshop, the fixed it and said the problem was with the Knock sensor and they had to replace it.
Check Engine light is fixed but I am facing a different problem now. Whenever I leave the car off for 2 days, it won't start again, turns out it drains the battery. I got the battery recharged and checked and they said battery health is 82% which I think should be good. I took my car to Honda Workshop again and he just suggested to disconnect the battery (+ive terminal whenever you leave the car overnight.
So my question is, is this ok to disconnect the battery (+ive terminal) every time I park the car overnight? Will that effect the Computer or any other electronic component?
