Honda civic 2005 low compression in 1 cylinder

Hello salam.
Recently i have purchased honda civic 2005 with 1 lak 40 on odo. Prosmatic auto. But I’ve been facing low fuel avg problem since day 1 ive been told that honda cars specially civic is fuel hungry i get that. I should’ve been getting around 8-7km in city as per my route is very busy. But im getting around 6 without ac.!!! Ive done mechanical tuning and changed plugs to ngk. And also done computerised tuning also. All seems fine bht still not able to fix. But today ive done a compression test of my car and 3 cilinder has around 148-150 reading and one has 48. Can you guys tell me the fix for this like what is the solution for this problem is it overhauling? Because my mechanic suggested me that. And also is this the problem for my car having bad average???

Did the mechanic tried wet test?
Seems like car was being used on cng. Can be bad valves seats.
Does it consumes oil?
There should be bad vibration in engine and power loss.

No brother. No oil consumption and no vibration.no power loss. Plus rpm is also stable!

There should be vibration if compression difference is that much.
You need to remove the head to see the condition of valve seats.

Is low compression the reason for my fuel problem? And what is the possible fix for this? Is it engine overhauling?

Power loss will effect mileage.
No. If pistons are fine then no need to overhaul.
Only valve seats polish and new valve seals.

Can you recommend me any good mechanic for this job? Because mine is asking me to change engine. ;( and i know there’s no need for this because my car isn’t showing any signs of faulty engine.

if the compression readings are below 160 psi. the vehicle engine need overhaul.
You have a Honda which is made in Pakistan. engine overhaul parts are available brand new from open market. Plan a complete overhaul, swap is NO.

Anything above 180psi your good.
Average 10~12 max with ac.
