Honda Civic 2005 prosmatic smoke from engine

Assalam o Alaikum,

Brother yesterday I as running the car on AC and during parking the car I saw some white smoke from radiator side of the car. I opened the hood of the car the car was super hot. For 15 mins I let the car cooled by itself and then open the radiator hose and saw that there wasn't any water in it.I have poured that water in the radiator around a week back. So I guess there is a problem with the radiator etc.

Please guide, should I use some sort of coolent for the radiator instead of just the water? Perhaps what might be the problem?

first get it checked for leakage.

First thing to check is the radiator cap. Most of the times this little part causes all the trouble!

Pardon me for asking by radiator cap you mean the cap which we open in order to pour the water/coolent?
And how this could be related to the mentioned issue?

Yes exactly.
This is related as you mentioned that there was no water/coolant present in the radiator. The same happened with me on a civic 2013.
In my case it was the radiator cap which was caused the car to heat up and when the car heated up there was smoke from the engine. So you can get it checked as it can be the culprit.
We should always start with the cheap parts.
