Check this how honda technician is doing alignment on Civic 2023
One question is why he removed the steering bolt and then put steering after alignment by straightening it. Will it effect the turning radius?

Steering is never ever removed from shaft, the pinch bolt at the pinion is removed and resplined if someone messed the rack in the first place. So i wouldnt consider this gent as “qualified”

And this is a 2 wheel alignment rack, only does front alignment. Meaning if rear suspension is pointing wrong, the front will be wrong too.

So another minus point here too.

Finally i didnt see anywhere if they measured the axle angle to determine chassis ride height first.

Basically this is a cheap toe and go - real alignment is not this.

This is my own car and I hire this shop because they do the job exactly as required. Note the flags on the edge of mudguards. The flags are to determine ride height. Its entered into the system which adjusts/modifies the toe.

During this job the ride sweep angles are checked abt 12 times, during which the steering is centralized dead on accurate perfect.

The first steer arrest is done as precheck and if anomaly like too much side bias on the tie rods are discovered, (previous person monkeyed the alignment) then the job will also include redoing the pinch clamp.

The rear toe is adjusted first, it points inwards and the intersecting angles cross ahead of the car edge, then the front is done and the way that the toe intersect is slightly ahead of the rear, the camber is set by the sweep angles and toe combined along with ride height.

This official Honda dealership needs to buy proper equipment and get proper training.

The picture I shared, is a private shop, They charge abt 65% of dealer prices, but do an A-spec job - so much so that to get an appt you need to call in a week early. They really spend good money on training classes, tooling and data gathering.

e.g. my old goofy SUV you see there has active steering (it literally changes the number of turns the steering wheel takes to turn fully while standing still and while moving) - it needs to be recentered with a deep level or BMW scanner when the alignment job is complete.

Will have to relocate to USA to find such shop. Here such speciality businesses dont thrive as people love to have the cheapest possible jobs on their pile of scraps.
Dealerships here have the same monkeys in a relatively fancy environment.

My Kia Sorento developed this issue of pulling to the left. All cars do it somewhat, but on this car it was a bit too much. The dealership acknowledged the issue. I spent 6 hours there where they did God knows what to the camber of the front wheels. In the end they were just not able to solve the issue.

The alignment rack can literally show the issue, provided they didnt reverse the car on the rack.

My car Ae100 corolla,s steering wheel got tilted to left by itself without doing anything to the suspension. What can cause this.

Will get it checked.There is also a creaking noise when turning the steering wheel. The ball joint was replaced not long ago. Seems like control arm bushings.

creaking is not control arm bushings but a dry joint, was the balljoint a greasable type?

Problem Status = Solved.
..
Changed the steering assembly and changed seals of power pump.. Did nothing else this time and post-alignment the car is going straight (only veering due to road crown/inclination)..
Why previous 2 steering assemblies were causing (if) this? no idea.

seems like this time your alignment guy actually aligned it - a hydraulic leak causing the power piston to steer the rack itself is not controllable - and sort of impossible by design of the pinion valve body.
