well i tried pressing it few times but it didnt work, will try it again in the evening. . did you ever take it to honda or discussed with them ??

didnt get time to take it to Honda
mine was once held and was not powering off even after removing the key
removing and reconnecting the battery helped resolving the issue
this oem unit is really substandard and prob. the only thing i dont like in my civic..

I too have faced this issue a few times.. The best way is to reset it, not by pulling the battery terminal off, but by pressing the reset button on the nav. Its located in the GPS slot, you hav to press n hold it for a few sconds with the stylus. The only drawback of this is that u hav to configure ur sound settings again (i.e. bass level etc etc)

Did you have to enter any code after reconnecting the battery because in owners manual its written that if battery is disconnected a code has to be entered for the navigation to work again.

thanks bros - problem resolved. pressed the RESET button and power button simultaneously for 10 secs and it turned on. i think the system has some sort of a security feature through which it automatically turned him off once you turn off the ignition without first turning off the system. that is also quoted by TRAking world staff.

i found the hand brake my car to be little loose, do i have to service the complete brakes or is there any adjustment settings for hand brake.

I wanted to know if anyone here has gone through the process of extending the warrenty of their civic?
I applied for the extended warranty from honda classic on 18-03-2014. I still haven't received the book yet.
I called them and they said that we have checked with the company, they haven't generated the book yet.
The honda official said it comes in 20 or so days but its been over a month now. Last i talked with him, he said mahena der mahena lag jata hai.
i also talked with honda atlas customer care but they told me to check with the dealership where I have applied
can anyone please tell me if this is normal or is there some issue I should be concerned about
also if anyone knows someone in honda atlas who might give me info as to why is there so much delay
i would really appreciate it

Honda is charging 60.5K for OEM Nav - I thought it was quite much - does it have real value for money? and expecially the quality because i thought it would be chinese? I currently have Pionner 3350BT in my Honda City and it plays music so good!

Your feedback would help me either opt Nav or leave it as an add on as i will finalize my booking on Monday.

Honda charges for it? This sat nav is provided by the tracking world company. If the poster goes to them won't they fit the sat nav for him at a more reasonable price ? There's no point of going to the Honda dealership for this anyway as they can't even update the system (even for that you've to visit the tracking world office)

That's correct! I did have this sales guy who installed the Altis Nav in my 1.6GLi Auto for 30K when Toyota charged 50K. I had a very detailed negotiation with this Tracking World guy back then and he agreed for 30K. They came to my home and installed it - excellent quality installation they did. Camera I already had with me else they wanted 5K for camera but mine was better quality so I didnt buy it.

Has any experienced the unit which is coming is Civic? Is it worth 60K?

If u asking whether this unit is worth 60k, then answer is NO
But if u want to install this unit from Tracking World later on, i dont think they will do so, they will refer u to Honda 3-s Bcoz installing it yourself would VOID ur warranty
As far as Corolla is concerned, any after market Nav unit can easily fit in it unlike CIVIC.. Also OEM Nav Unit that comes with corolla is from some other company PAK NAV i guess, since tracking world has no agreement with Indus, they dont mind installing Nav unit in corolla..

When before the launch, someone here would write dissatisfaction about the shape/interior, etc, of this model, the normal reply would be:

"People are always critical about new things, but later adopt" , etc.

I think the standing on the roads is pretty clear by now: Failure!

8th gen is being missed seriously and still looks bolder, bolder, bolder!

If Atlas people don't do anything about this POS anytime soon, or delay any cosmetic changes, etc, , it's not only a continued disappointment for us Honda lovers, but new Corolla will be a "Terminator" to what's left of this worldwide "scandal", no offence, plz!

Did any1 felt tic tic (lose plastic touching kind of )noises from sunroof of their civic (9 Gen) ,Or am i the only lucky one here?

I have to take it to 5K inspection in few weeks So just wondering if any one had faced the same issue and if it was sorted or not??

It was from passenger end of sun roof to be precise seems something lose there but coudnt figure how to fix it ...

Please share your experience....

I am thinking of installing unichip in my 2014 civic
Not necessarily to increase the power or economy, but to reduce or eliminate the shift lag. The prosmatec suffers from a great deal of shift lag. The time between the pressing of throttle and the car shifting down is a little too much. I was thinking maybe unichip can reduce that and make the throttle more responsive like in a manual car?
anyone has any views/ideas to share regarding it?
should I go ahead with it or will the outcome not be worth the price?

Another issue could be warranty problems by Honda.
