I wanted to side you but just downloaded the data from Pama website and was surprised myself that 9th Gen Civic is selling twice as much as compared to 8th gen Civic .. see the historic statistics from here >> http://www.pama.org.pk/images/stories/pdf/five-years.xls

The thing is too ugly perhaps to attract my eyes on the roads! Lol!

Irrespective of these figures, I still stand by what my eyes see on the roads as compared to when 8.th gen was still hatching, every second sedan standing next to you by the lights would be a 8.th gen Civic!

If so many people are buying this model, where the heck are they keeping it?

In any case, looking forward to changes within it.

Btw, try driving up to a 9.th gen from the rear, and view it not from straight behind, but from a 45 degrees angle, like when starting to overtake it, boy it's an UGLY look!

Or perhaps, Pathans only do the judging from this spectacular angle, lol!

filhaal em doing some searching to find out whether chipping the ecu can really reduce the lag or not. Unchip does state that the drive by wire respose can be adjusted by it so maybe they can reduce the issuse.
I ll let you guys know what they have to say once i meet them in person
Another thing you might have noticed with this civic, one you cross a speedbreaker slowly, you press the accelerator, it takes quite a while after which the car jerks very slightly and gets into gear. Happens with me all the time, annoying as ****

Yeah that plus there is no gradual increase in speed or response while on highway cruising speeds. One really has to floor the pedal the trigger downshifting!

As far as looks are concerned then it depends from person to person, some may like it and some may not, but calling it UGLY is an immature statement and prob. invitation to start a civic vs corolla fight by a die hard fan of Rolla..
This CIVIC enabled Honda Atlas to turn its losses into profits, is the preferred choice in this segment as compared to Altis and has good visibility on roads...

Why people are against the new Civic is because they own Reborn, outdated shape and version. Oh, it doesn't have Econ and they can't tolerate 8-10km/l in city drive. Don't forget no Cruise Control.

cant agree more, criticism without any reasoning on this forum is from reborn owners (not all,, exceptions are there) and some agents of Indus Motor..
also this new civic made them lose 4-5 lacs on resale of their beloved reborns..

Exactly, this is the car with which honda outsold corolla worldwide for the first time in history and such people are saying this car is a failure and ugly.

People who own a corolla or an older gen civic tend to say negative things about the new civic.
while getting my car washed, an uncle came to me and asked me how was my civic. I said its a fine car with no probs whatsoever. Then he gave me a long lecture on how flop and fail this car is. He also mentioned that this civic came with a sensor throttle which failed miserably
and then honda switched to DBW throttle
i didn't say anything in reply cause it was pointless arguing with someone who doesn't know that this generation of civic never came with an electronic throttle
he also told me that he went to buy this car but then, as this model is flop, he bought a used 1.6 GLi corolla

One thing I fail to understand is that how does one make up mind for a 25lakh rupees car and end up buying a 16lakh worth of a car :-/

i mean i understand if one goes to buy a manual civic and ends up buying an auto civic
or if one goes to buy a fabric interior one and ends up buying a leather interior one
those senarios are understandable but going to buy a civic and end up buying a GLi.....doesn't make any sense to me

Head lamps have adjusters for vertical and horizontal adjustments.
