Love this shape of corolla. Hope same comes here in pakistan as soon as possible, as I'm disappointed with civic 9th generation in pakistan, waiting for new shape of corolla. If they also won't satisfy me, I'll go for Japanese imports.

Not a bad shape but just doesn't make sense to compare civic 1800 cc with a car that is available in much cheaper 1300 xli/Gli variants (and no 1800 variant) that dents it's exclusivity. Corrola can only be good second car under the gli model since at the price of altis its much better to opt for civic that is in a class of its own in the local market!

Usually with that amount of cash in pocket and in need of a car, usually doesn't wait for 5 or 7 years for NEW shapes to arrive and to like or hate a certain car to THAT kinda extreme level...

InshALLAH I am planning to book Civic 9th Generation model = I-Vtec Manual in January 2013 (InshALLAH)

My questions are as follows:

• Visited Honda Shahra-e-Faisal branch Karachi and they provided the following details:

I-Vtec Manual = 1,982,000
Registration = 78000
Insurance + Tracker = 79000 (C-Track)
Total = 2,139, 000 (with out Navigation)

The price list on Honda's website say's (Invoice Price = 1,969,000 for I-Vtec Manual) so why the dealer's are charging me extra 13K

Also if any member based in Karachi can please confirm if the dealer is charging 78,000 for the registration is right amount (as far as I know the reg charges varies according to cities)

• Also I would like to confirm should I book my car from Shahra-e-Faisal , or from Honda Drive in (which one has good reputation and good post sales service)

• They were also saying if I am going for Manual I-Vtec then the waiting time is only 1 month, the wait time increases if I am going for Prosmatec (both the dealer's said the same thing in regards to waiting time)

Also is C-Track Insurance company is a reliable one, and should I simply get the insurance done through the dealer (what ever they suggest, or should I shop around and get quotes , just as discussed by Umair in the following thread)

13K are freight charges from Lahore to Karachi..... I guess tracker is of little value when you have the Full insurance cover. Good companies offer insurance from 2.8-3% rates. My advice is to get a full insurance cover without tracker.

Civic 9th gen has a very good shape but some ppl like u don't like it, similarly some may like new corolla not All, so it's matter of personal liking.
Good that u r happy with ur civic 99 but it's 13 years old and how can u compare it with new car, come on.....

I think that the new civic is also a beauty,I mean like if you will put rims and body kit on it will look a beauty take as corolla as well or anyother car,unless until you don't put some rims and lips there the car looks budhu take for instance the new corolla only when you bring it from showroom to home,the car looks obsert but after you install some rims and new tyres with more grip it starts to look like a beast aur phir body kit to sone pe suhaga hi but only if you have a good taste otherwise you can ruin the car look aswell by putting those chamkili chrome handles ,sidemirrors,rims and that chrome breaking light at the trunk.Making the car look a complete pendu

for me the only addition in a new car can be alloy wheels and good tyres, i m personally not fan of body kits and such modifications..

Yokohama Advan DB 195-65 R15 i.e. stock size of civic
or 205-65 R15 if u r willing to sacrifice slight percentage of fuel economy
