Honda Civic 2017 gear oil. (Not for automatic)

Salam Everyone
I went to Honda dealers to buy a gear oil for my civic 2017-18 model Oriel. They gave me this HFC-2 gear oil which says not for automatic transmission and they said it’s ok to use it as we use it in all automatic civics 2016 and up. I wanna ask experts here About it. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes the HCF-2 CVT transmission fluid is the one for your car. All Civic X 2016 to date are CVT equipped. Go ahead for replacement.

On the bottle it says not for AUTOMATIC civics or city. Also known as Prosmatec Transmission. Civic 2015+ aka Civic X has CVT transmission which takes this oil.

Yes that was written on the packing of the gear oil, I don’t know why as it’s for cvt automatic

Honda CANT even make sure their so call sealed engine is not sealed, they made so pathetic lid for gear oil change which was open last time I washed my engine and poured water by mistake in gear box as that lid was lose open. My mechanic made another lid which is tightened now. The lid Honda Gave us all is LOSE. They asked me to pay them 6 lacs for the new gear box and I showed them I will give all this bull shit in a news paper, good luck selling Hondas with low quality stuff.
