Honda Civic 7th Gen; Engine Swap needed

Hey Guys.

I am living in Lahore & owns a Honda Civic Exi 2004, 7th Gen with D15 engine. Engine is in terrible condition, thus needs to be replaced.

Need your suggestions, from where can i get a good engine and a mechanic who knows all the technicalities. Also suggest me which engine should i go for; D15 or D17, as these are only japanese engines available in market.

Go for D17, get head assembly if all other stuff and transmission is ok. You can get complete engine with transmission wiring and ecu for around 60k from bilal gunj. Just head assembly will cost 25k with your old assembly. Labour will be around 7k roughly. Take your mechanic with you to bilal gunj so he can inspect the engine.

did u seaqrched for D16W7 VTEC-E motor?if yes then please tell me tthe rates...keep in mind buy the head assembly with full uncut wiring plus the ecu of that specific engine

Try to get D16. It will give you good fuel economy. D17 should be considered if you cannot get D16. And make sure to buy jdm one. Jdm ones have just one alphabet after engine name like D15B or D17A.

how much economy ate u getting from it?and for how much u bought it and what was included in the swap?

I bought complete engine along ecu for 90k 2years back getting 8-9 km on ac and 110 km on full tank cng 55l .. plus its 1700cc japnese engine..... Power is great

Thanks for the suggestion. I got it swapped with D15a and its giving an economical drive of around 11-12kmpl in city with AC.
