Guys i recently poured Zic Coolant. after Flushing radiator with Liquimoly radiator cleaner. Coolant is also decreasing in my car. I can't find a leak. Is there any way to identify the leak? I don't want mechanics wasting my time and money

Check for air in the system.
Check radiator cap. Only use Genuine Honda part.
Also if you havnt replaced the rubber hoses its time to change them. With time they get hard.

The love affair of throttle body cleaning in pakistan leads to a worn out throttle body. It will cause severe screw up of rpm control.

Add to the fact cng mechanics have been known to drill the throttle axle too.

So dont completely omit that fact.

The intake manifold is plastic and i have seen it glued with rtv and tightened wrong which guarantees air leaks

Liqui moly rad cleaner is as strong as plain water after you have yelled at it.

Use a proper flush next time. The mercedes benz citric acid flush is the best and cheapest by far.

This flush can be bought from karyana store or chem market. De oil the system first with non foaming soap. This is sold as cheapo carpet cleaner in pakistan

I think i am left with no other choice but to replace the throttle body. Is there any honest place in karachi that sells these units. I need one urgently. And what would be the price???

the fluctuating idle rpm issue had become a mess during eid. I tried removing the throttle body and sevicing it myself but I couldnt go beyond removing the air filter box. Unfortunately, I had to fit everything back. Upon starting the engine, I had noticed that the checklight had come up but the rpm was stable on 900. Was unsure whether to be happy or sad. I went back to the engine bay and found out that a wire attached to the air filter box has been missed out. I simple connected it and started the engine. The checklight had disappeared but the rpm started fluctuating again. I removed the wire and the rpm stabilized again. Please guide here. Is this particular sensor faulty????

yes please share the picture of sensor. Throttle body is not an item to be serviced .. it is only a replacement part, buying an scrapyard item is no guarantee of working at optimum.

Sensor attached to airfilter box is the MAF sensor. You can try replacing it with a different one as it seems to be the problem with your car.

That little wire is the air temperature sensor, I think ure engines wiring is toasted, do u have it sprayed with diesel fuel or oil after the buffalo bath called service.

This engine never had a maf

Ok. The sensor in the Air filter Box is known as intake air temperature sensor...
Secondly you have problematic IACV common shyt with these model civics after they are driven on tap water for years. Thirdly the mechanic has charged you for general tuning which includes adjusting of valves and cleaning of throttle body along with that jugaar IACV. I am sure he must have asked you to come back and have that sensor replaced if problem persists?

will do so bro. These mechanics simply wrap up the work with undue haste and then pretend as if their job will do wonders in performances. I identified the fluctuating rpm and his sidekick simply called my observation as my imagination. Irshad himself reluctantly admitted that the rpm was fluctuating but jaan churranay k liye he urged not to tamper with the car and drive as is.

i never spray any lube or diesel anywhere on my car. In fact, i dont let the service guys even wash my engine

Yes it seems like an IAT sensor. as soon as i disconnect the cable, the rpm stabilizes. My car has been working on coolant for quite some time. The mechanic never asked me to come back. He simply gave up k iss se behtar nae hogi garri ab

On the filter box it's the IAT sensor. This has MAP sensor, located on the intake manifold assembly near the throttle body mounting point

I went there an hour ago. But his actions were quite contrary to my expectations. At first he boastfully started mentioning that he is visited by customers from abbotabad and other distant areas and I stand nothing in front of them. He kept on mentioning that he had done me an immense favor by spending 4-5 hours on my vehicle. I fail to understand the mentality of these crooks nowadays. Why do they think that they deserve even a penny for all the useless experiments they do on vehicles. A customer does not spend for the content of the mechanic's heart and nor does he spend to reward them for their time invested. We simply pay if our problem is rectified.

Coming back, he opened his wallet and handed me 2000 rupees with a heavy heart against the 4000 I had paid and . logically he should have handed me over the entire 4000 because my car has deteriorated further after his experiments. Then it was upto me whether i would like to leave something with him or not. I had planned on leaving Rs. 1000 where even rs. 500 would seem a lavish expense for no improvement in car. It is hard earned money. These crooks don't understand that. I dont blame you @capsat. You did your part and I thankyou for this. But the mentality of such guys is ridiculous and they will recall their wrongdoings when the time comes.
