Vti is better on petrol, exi can be used on cng although vti can also be used but exi is better if to be used on cng permanently

What will be the drawbacks of vti if permanently used on cng bcz i love vti due it's features...abs brakes, power windows, retractable mirrors etc.. i always prefer manual..

I too don't understand how vti is bad on CNG? I have used cng for than 10 years and no issues. VTI is more powerful and more economical than exi

Hi Guys, I just bought a Civic 2005 Exi Prosmetic with 70k running. Does someone have an owner's manual of this version. One more question; my car came with EGR disconnected and no wire around to connect it to. Is it like that ?

The engine is not pkdm one, it is in fact fitted with some other country engine and may be wires and ecu are still of previous pkdm engine

That's a very scary thing you told me. How can I confirm that engine is swapped. What else to see?

if it is like what you say, then there must be other connections that had been swapped too. What should I check to be comfortable enough that everything is fine? On the side note, the drive is too smooth, body does not have any accident history (no paint jobs and fillings except one rear panel shower), checked by Car Sure with OK results, went to Honda Sh Faisal for 70k inspection with all OK results except for brake pads and arm bushes with done life. This car was initially purchased thru CSD Hire Purchase Scheme and buyers probably had no knowledge of car mechanics let alone engine swap.

Sorry to say but you've been robbed! No pkdm variant came with egr. To say the car has done only 70k n still have the engine swapped, it must have been through some serious beating, a serious overheating may b.

Whatever may be will of God. At least it is a non pkdm engine, must be better then the last one if it has been swapped. Unless it gives me trouble, why should I be worried.

Tell me something. .obd2 should tell me something too as EGR is not connected. Shouldn't there be some fault codes in memory?

No codes. Just get its connector nd tape the wire with nearest wire so it may not look un attended

Thanks for the tip. But I think I will use the car for a longer time. Perhaps I should know what this engine really is and what kind of maintenance would it require. I have seen a few Civics with same type of engine. Some say it's swapped some say no. God knows. Number on engine and that in book is same. By the way what is the drawback in having a D17 if it is what you suggest?
