I have Honda Civic 2005 with millage of 110000km. Previously I was using Shell Ultra 5w-40w Oil was superb in performance wise but i had issue of leaking of seals so I changed all my seals vti rubber as well after sometime again head seal got leaked like replaced it twice because of which oil level decreased a bit but car is'nt consuming the oil level stays the same.
Can you all suggest me what is the best option for me while replacing engine oil or should I should opt for the same engine oil.

Your recommendations would highly be appreciated!

Always change oil seals with geniune. If engine oil is leaking from tappet cover from its base then change the rubber gaskit with honda geniune which may cost you around Rs 1100. If engine oil is leaking from spark plug holes and left side camshaft seal/cover then replace them too with aftermarket parts Rs 150x4 + 250. I will recommend you to use ZIC X7 10W/40 engine oil for optimum performance. Once or twice a year do flush your engine before oil change by draining old engine oil and now put one liter each of cheap engine oil and diesel and 60 ml kerosene and run engine on idle speed for 10 minutes. Now drain all contents and put on new oil filter and add fresh ZIC engine oil. If engine oil leakage persists then get check the camshaft and cranshaft seals on timing belt side for damage. If found leaking then replace both of them with honda geniune seals which will cost you around Rs 1200. Labor charges are Rs 2000 to 2500. Job duration is around 4 to 5 hours. During this job also try to change timing belt and timing bearing if found operated up to 90000 KM. Also inspect water pump for any bearing noise and coolant seepage and replace it if found faulty.

I am getting timing bearing genuine for 42-4300 type dnt rmmbr the exact price now as car is almost 190k driven and havent changed its timing belt. So thinking to get it changed along with bearing but bearings price seems to be too much

You should have used genuine parts for timing belt and timing bearing. It is a very critical part and not worth saving some bucks. Also the change interval is 80k so its more like a one time expense.

Change timing belt asap, it can break anytime and you will end up with bent rods and what not.
Use genuine parts. Genuine timing belt from dealership costs 4k, bearing costs 6500. Also inspect water pump while you get this work done.
Do not use non-genuine parts as there are critical parts and not worth taking the risk. 10-15k expense every 80-100k KM is not much.

No car maker manufacture spare parts after 10 years since discontinution of model. Do not waste money on so called geniune mechanical parts. The aftermarket spare parts are of very good quality and you don't have to worry about it. One thing which should be kept in mind that whenever you purchase a bearing then put some extra high temperature synthetic grease in it by removing seals. If you cannot do it then at least take a small amount of ATF in syringe and inject it through the seals. This will extend the life of a bearing to almost double. I am using aftermarket spare parts in my honda car since 2013 and I never had a problem. The market is full of cheaters who sell you fake high priced parts saying that it is made in japan which is a total fraud.

You have reduced its life as soon as you have opened up that bearing seal! where are you getting this information? Why manufacturers do not recommend opening brand new bearings and putting grease in it?

About genuine parts, contact dealership, they do have parts for 2005 honda. If not readily available, they arrange from their warehouse within a week. Timing belt and timing bearing must be bought from dealership, its not worth 2lac rupees, only 10-15k expense once in 80-100k KMs.

If you go through grease thread, Xulfiqar has recommended using better quality grease in bearings. I have done the same on a car years ago and it's working fine. Just clean out the old grease and apply new grease. For complete procedure check grease thread iirc it should be there.

Yes depends how much you can afford. But personally I feel the aftermarket spare parts like timming belt brand Mistubishi, timming bearing brand Goto, water pump brand GMB are making satisfactory quality products for honda civic cf4 with very reasonable price.

this timing bearing wont last much. It would be a risk to drive the car over 20,000 kms with this belt. get the genuine one for rs. 4000. works for about 100,000 kms
