Well for exi its near the left back wheel and for vti it should be the same but diffrnt ppl hav diffrnt opinions so a vti user should really get it checked and post here for everyone's convenience

Just search it near the left back wheel. Its a plastic bottle type thing in dark green/grey colour (dont rmmbr the colour). Just lift the car on jack and u will see it if its thre or not. A sasta filter costs around 500 and does the job pretty well atleast for 3-4 years

yes there is a bottle type thing under the left rear fender behind the wheel, but is that really a fuel filter? same thing is available for 700 rupees from parts store, and then another filter is available for 6000 which fits under the back seat :S?

Then what is under rear seat? I think what you are mentioning on left wheel is fuel pump..

Then i guess fuel pump has its own filter as well... because over the internet two things are mentioned, filter and strainer. It is mentioned that strainer is at bottom of fuel pump.

Can you see the link above and confirm?

So its clear that fuel filter is underneath the car (left side attached with bolts, see pic in above thread) and under the seat is fuel pump. In international models however, the filter is part of fuel pump assembly. Now we have to confirm if pump has a filter of its own as well or not.

Hi Civic 7th Gen Owners / Experts, I was driving my car EXi Prosmatec 2005 some mins ago, noticed temperature gauge on a bit higher side than usual. What could be the possibility of higher temperature as i was driving the car with normal throttle under 3000 RPMs, terrain was normal too (not a hike/steep).

Any recommendations, what preventive measures i should be taking to cater this heating issue - prior it hurts something in engine i.e. servicing of radiator grill? pouring coolant? etc

If i have to go for radiator servicing, from whom i should get this done in Islamabad? What would be the service charges for radiator servicing + 4 liter of Zic Coolant is of Rs. 1500 (i guess).

Any suggestions, recommendations please.

P.S. Car wasn't on AC.

Get Radiator service done asap and get the engine gasket checked too
Radiator service costs 1000Rs and Coolant will cost 1500Rs

hi guys, i just got my injectors serviced today. i also wanted to change the fuel filter, i even purchased one but i am amazed to found out that there is no fuel filter in civic 2005? :o i even had fuel tank cleaned so the guy searched all the way from tank to engine but he could nt find the filter then he said oh yaaad aya is model main nai ata, 2003 tak aya tha... i went back to the shop to return the filter, he said ase kaise nai hota, phr us ka banda dhonta raha phr har man k paise wap…

Bro it is very confusing, Let me share my experience
I went to mechanic to get Fuel Filter replaced he said that he is 100% sure car has Fuel filter under the seat in fuel tank. I went all way to saddar and got fuel filter worth 5000Rs then he opened fuel tank and said this car has other filter maybe near the wheel. I got all the way to saddar to get that rear wheel filter. There was again issue of filter he said this filter is not the exact size. He said above fuel tank the pump has a small filter but it can be changed with whole fuel pump etc. So i got the filter returned and got back 5k. It is recommended to get fuel filter changed from Honda it is their headache to find the location. Change only if required and is never changed

Well i normally get such parts from SHARJAH AUTOS Chaah Sultan. The mechaincs shop is just next to him so whatever u need, u buy from sharjah autos and get it installed by the mechanic. If he doesnt hav a part, he gets it arranged himself so no hassle of running here and thre. Chineese fuel pump costs around 2k and filter around 500 and it works pretty fine. Yes, the pump has a small filter type thingy on top of it but that isent the main filter. Pump prices vary alot, thre is a chinese one for 2k some thailand one for 3500 and another dnt rmmbr much about it. China does the purpose well and zero complaints as told by the shop owner. Still amazed on statements that it doesnt hav a filter lol so hence proved thay filter is near the left back wheel whether its an exi or a vti. Good to know that

OK leme share my experience around 2 years back when I got the car for some reason I went to mechanic and asked him to change its fuel filter he opened up the fuel pump below rear seat and took out a filter and replaced it with new filter infront of my own eyes... i dont remember its shape or size as its two years now but filter costed me 900rs at that time and now since few months my car knocks a lot so akash said k it's fuel filter which needs replacement and filter is next to rear wheel he says k oem filter is around 5k then their is one for 1400 rs and cheapest one is for 500 rs.

M going to get filter replaced very soon INSHALLAH may be in a week as soon as i find time but real problem is that i dont wana spend 5k on a stupid filter lol so wat would u people suggest should i go for 1400 one or 500 one? and one more thing k if filter is next to some rear wheel then what the hell was that filter which i replaced 2 years back?

Brother read posts above, in international models, there is only one filter that is part of pump assembly. In our PKDMs, there are two filters. Main filter is under the car and a smaller pump filter(known as strainer) is under the seat. Go for a cheap 500 one and see if knocking resolves.
