On phone, Discount tyre ISB quoted 31k for end 2016 import tyres with 60 months warranty. Lets see what Japan tyre has to offer... isn't 3k difference a little too much if tyres are same?

hi guys, i just got my injectors serviced today. i also wanted to change the fuel filter, i even purchased one but i am amazed to found out that there is no fuel filter in civic 2005? :o i even had fuel tank cleaned so the guy searched all the way from tank to engine but he could nt find the filter then he said oh yaaad aya is model main nai ata, 2003 tak aya tha... i went back to the shop to return the filter, he said ase kaise nai hota, phr us ka banda dhonta raha phr har man k paise wap…

So its clear that fuel filter is underneath the car (left side attached with bolts, see pic in above thread) and under the seat is fuel pump. In international models however, the filter is part of fuel pump assembly. Now we have to confirm if pump has a filter of its own as well or not.

ahan,,, i am posting a link to purchase it then, this link is to genuine Honda Fuel filter, this website also has chinese filter which costs 500 rupees.

by the way this website has almost everything of CF4 available and prices are really competitive too.

VTI and most probably EXI as well have two filter assemblies. one u can find near the fuel tank on the underside of the vehicle on left side. It's a bottle type unit, n u can source it for around ~800. Inside the fuel tank, there's a fuel pump with its restraining filter. u can change the restraining filter for around ~100. It is strongly advisable that one changes both the filters. Pertinent to mention here that when u check for the filters do check the fuel pump as well. recommended pressure output of the fuel pump is 42-48 psi at 2000 rpm. if the fuel pump pressure output is less, u need to change the pump. if the fuel pump has gone bad it will result in reduced mileage and decreased engine performance of the vehicle

So my investigation was right and this clears all the confusion.

Please suggest how to measure fuel pressure?

Hi Civic 7th Gen Owners / Experts, I was driving my car EXi Prosmatec 2005 some mins ago, noticed temperature gauge on a bit higher side than usual. What could be the possibility of higher temperature as i was driving the car with normal throttle under 3000 RPMs, terrain was normal too (not a hike/steep).

Any recommendations, what preventive measures i should be taking to cater this heating issue - prior it hurts something in engine i.e. servicing of radiator grill? pouring coolant? etc

If i have to go for radiator servicing, from whom i should get this done in Islamabad? What would be the service charges for radiator servicing + 4 liter of Zic Coolant is of Rs. 1500 (i guess).

Any suggestions, recommendations please.

P.S. Car wasn't on AC.

It can be due to many things. But start of with the obvious ones. Get the cooling system serviced, but there's a complete procedure for it. normally our mechanic hazrat r lazy in following procedures and mostly dun even care. Servicing is quite easy, u can do it urself as well. procedure is: use pure powdered citric acid usually called tartari in local market, mix it with hot water to make a solution. ratio is 3.5lit water in a bucket with 350grams citric acid. open the radiator cap n pour the solution in it. rinse it as many as necessary till u c all the sludge removed. afterwards neutralize the system with metha soda solution once, ratio is 125grams of metha soda for 3.5 lit water. remove t valve initialy for speedy process plus recommended is to change all rubber hoses after the flushing. if hoses r new, the ok.

pressure can only be measured with fuel pressure kit. n i bet u wont find a singe mechanic in this whole country who has such a kit such is the level... u can puchase one online, or create one for urself

also i am finding the stock headlights severely in adequate so i upgraded to relays with 90/100w H4 tubes with heavy guage wires
visibility has still not improved much for my daily highway driving
also i find the color scheme of my 2001 es1 interior extremely boring and old any ideas how to brighten it up

Problem is with these bulbs which are avaliable in market are extremely pathetic. try finding jdm bulbs from junkyard and it should solve ur issue

get philips xtreme vision. my problem is resolved with them. install in both high and low beam.

I went yesterday for tyres and even though both japan tyres and discount tyres said one day ago that fresh Michelin are available but when i went there, japan tyre had 2015 tyre and discount tyre was out of stock. CC5 were also not available at both shops...
Kher Japan tyre gave me one week time.

Firstly there is this annoying sound jaise koi cheez Zbardasti ghoom rai ho kind of like whining it usually comes.when.the car is moving at a constant speed......Can anybody relate to this? Or help a brother out?

Btw guys. i just read on internet that when installing bushings (in my case lower arm bush), the bush need to be pressed in a specific direction for it to work properly and last longer. Now i am not sure if kharadiya and aqash took care of it or not

It comes only when moving? Does the car or steering vibrate/wobble at high speeds? Do you feel pulsating in pedal while applying brakes at a high speed.
Does it come when AC is turned on?
Does it come while moving steering?
If its manual car, when the sound is coming, press the clutch pedal and see if it goes away

Yes the sound only comes when the car is moving usually above 60kmph the steering does not wobble or vibrate even at high speeds the sound does go away once I slow down......the brakes are also fine I'll try the clutch trick today InshAllah
