My exi 05 has started consuming oil. I got the compression test done and the result was fine but the culprit is valve seals which i have heard that will leak again after sometime so most of the people are suggesting me to swap engine completely what do you guys suggest me to do.

The reason people go for a swap instead of an overhaul in case of honda engines is because unlike suzuki and toyota engines, these are not very successful when done on locally available "kheraad" setup and the equipment available with our mechanics e.g. no torque wrench even to tighten bolts as required.

About the bulbs discussion, do remember that these higher powered halogens have limited life. If the car is routinely used at night then expect the bulb to last around an year on average.

i want to go for 15w40 multigrade delo gold in my vti in hopes of improving mileage 11.5 kmpl w/o AC
currently running 20w50 previously was using M0S 10-40
Car odo 165000 and slighlty weak gasket to which no mechanic in my area wants to replace and reccomend to leave it as is
even though the idea is of swapping is nowhere possible for me due many reasons
so should i try 15w40
right now the fan is auto w/o thermostat

What was the issue with 10w40 before?

seals of PS pump are leaking, very common problem and can easily be fixed by replacing seals. While you are at it, also change PSF and be sure to bleed the system

The leakage suddenly stopped i guess..
Because the PS Fluid from full bottle is now on High level mark since few days. What do you suggest?
While change headlight bulbs myself, i slightly moved the Power steering bottle to get to the bulb location, Do you think there is any other issue that i may have caused while doing it, since i observed leak after that day..

Well strange issue arised today, squeeking noise from front most probably some belt or power pump hav gone faulty. The sound increases with acceleration and at idle rpm thre is hardly any sound. Any guesses? Going to mechanic tomoro praying that i dnt hav to change the power pump and it ends with some faulty belt

Perhaps it was leaking from bottle/pipes only and not from pump which is good If its not leaking now then leave it as it is. Just keep an eye in future

No increase with wheel turn. Thats the issue its keeping me away from the power pump that the sound should increase with wheel turn but it increases with race

Liqui Moly performed well, i used 10w40 (without MoS2) costed me 3000 rupees.

but i would recommend Shell 10w40, get it from shell pump (not the jerry can, get the drum oil which they pour in via an injecting machine) my car is giving even better mileage after getting shell 10w40.

liqui moly was good too but heavy on pocket, i can get shell oil change every 3000km with air filter and oil change under 2500 rs whereas with liqui moly it goes upto 4500rs. choice is yours. whatever you get done make sure you get engine oil drained via drain bolt rather the sucking machine..

about the website, its a very decent website which defines what is made in china and what is japan/original.
