If the radiator is not sucking water from the reservoir bottle there could be: (provided there are no other issues with the cooling system)

1) A minor leak somewhere in the system. Usually the hoses harden with the passage of time and lose their contact with the joint. The system instead of sucking water from the bottle sucks in air. (The reason for low water levels).

2) Faulty radiator cap. Check and replace with OEM.

3) Air in the system. Bleed it out of the system. To do this, Park the car facing up on a slope, open up the radiator cap and let the car idle for a few minutes.

How to identify if it is sucking from reservoir or not? By check levels at engine cold and hot?

You can get a good quality uncut kabuli harness for almost 4000 rs.

Who said you cannot replace head gasket in this engine. First thing first, replace your mechanic ASAP.

There must be a leakage maybe size of pinhole, need to check all the hoses, with soap water to detect the leak. Use genuine radiator cap.

Fill the radiator upto its brim and the reservoir bottle upto its Max mark ( reservoir bottle should never be filled upto its brim.)

ideally the level of water in the radiator should not drop ( must be near the brim whenever you open up the cap).

If the level drops after driving around a few kms and the reservoir level stays at its place.
Its pretty much a teltale sign that its not sucking water.

Honda genuine oil for this car is 5w30. Changing oil viscosity shouldn't create all those things which you have mentioned. 5w30 should have actually increased your km/l average. Black plugs means you are running rich. Check your air filter box, either its not properly seated on throttle body or getting air after the filter (if cng was installed) which turned oil black. Engine oil has nothing to do with deposits in throttle body.

112K is nothing for this engine trust me. If you love your car Don't ever go back to the mechanic who suggested 20w50.

Another reason for loosing water Without a leak is the use of plain water that boils to make steam. Steam we all know generates immense pressure which will escape from somewhere even if the cooling system is sealed to OEM specs.

@farrukhzeeshan @HellsGuardian @ali454 Will try slope trick on radiator and check hose pipes. Secondly tell me some good brand of gasket and its approximate cost plus location for installation. As far as tap water in radiator is concerned, when I bought this car last year with 87k on odo, water was being used in radiator. Also a radiator tube was blocked, bought kabli radiator for 8k and added premixed zic coolent in it. Soon when I reversed the car from coolent shop, upper tank of radiator burst and hot coolent started popping out. Went immidiately to mechanic shop (walking distance) and told him whole story. He replaced the tank and said 'puranay radiator me coolent use nae krtay, yeh ander pressure bna deta hai jis se radiator phatt sakta hai',weird. After that using plain water along with t stat valve removed. 19k driven from purchase till now.

Most probably the radiator was already repaired and sold in the name of Kabuli. I changed my radiator with a brand new aftermarket radiator, it costed me rs. 5500 for auto trans. manual was for 5000. done almost 70k on this radiator and still running good. Lol at purane radiator me coolant use nahin karte.

You can call 042-36626987 Sugio authorized honda parts dealer on walton road for price of oem gasket. A good quality gasket should cost maybe 1000. If you want I can give you contact of my mechanic he is on PIA road.

I know my mechanic is idiot and do repairs costly than market. Once he suggested me to put garden hose pipe inside radiator hole with engine started so that impurities in radiator will popp out. He also filled ATF in power steering assembly when I got my steering rack changed from him last year. Although steering is fine till now
Mostly he boast himself saying that 'me hamesha JENYAN kaam krta hon'. Even if you want a single bulb to be replaced he will insist on kabli used ones taken from container vehicles saying that they are JAPANI. Now a days I pay him visit very rare.
On PIA road near wapda town roundabout?? That would be very appropriate for me as I live nearby.

I didn't wanna say that as the owner usually feels sad to hear it, but you are absolutely right, meter is definitely reversed. Otherwise, this car can easily last for 250k without major issues if kept well.

I generally buy parts from Honda House on montogomery Road or Shakeel Autos in Township. Get the Original Honda or OEM will cost more but will be peace of mind.

Secondly people here tend to remove Tstat valve in this country even if there is nothing wrong with their car.It doesnt necessarily means that the meter was reversed. Its because of stupid mechanics.

What kind of idiot that mechanic is who says dont use Coolant. I mean I have been to mechanics that are worse but even they say you can use coolant its better but they never insist you to use plain water... This guy deserves a medal.

Also Kabli parts are the worst to use. I always try to stay away from them unless and until the New part is hell expensive or not available. Its useless to put Kabli suspension parts, engine parts, radiators and tires. They are already used and in fact sometimes in worst condition than the part you are actually replacing them with. And most of them are repaired. There are shops in Bilal Gunj who work day and night repairing shocks, etc.

Its Ok to put Kabli windscreen or lights or a door handle but other than these its penny wise pound foolish.

I do not know the exact process. But as long as its not bent they can fill it up. But the damping rate is effed up.
This is the reason why most cars even after getting their shocks replaced with Kabli ones drive like a tractor trolley.

The most common mistake by which the local ustaads judge the health of a telescopic shock is by pushing the dis assembled shock from the top with their body weight. It will move in because its there to absorb the bumps. And when it does that they say Shaack farigh hai. Lol!

What they dont/cant check is the pull. This can be tried by pushing the shock in and trying to pull it out with a jerk. If it pulls out with ease, its gone. if it doesnt its good.

A shock is there to stop the bounce (recoil once the car has hit a pothole) of the car.

My cousin has a Honda 2002 Prosmatec vti with around 2 lac in odo, still running water. He asked the mechanic for coolant. Mechanic said, coolant ander se corrosion ko saaf karay ga (clean the mess due to plain water) aur agar koi jaga kamzor hui to sorakh ho jaye ga aur lamba rola par jaye ga. Isn't he right in saying so???
