The engine you are running comes with an ECU that supports a Manual transmission.

Running an auto transmission requires a supporting ECU with its wiring.

If you do not intend to change the engine but want to change the ecu and wiring plus want to put an auto transmission.

It might become a headache to run.

Buy a complete setup.

i have used dunlops, bridgeston and continentals.

most recent purchase of mine were continentals, got them for my fathers city and i thought continentals are the best of them all

until

i bought Michelin for my vti oriel last month, Michelin is even better thn yokos, continentals by around 50% better comfort, significant difference.

Price: i gave my old tyres for 2000 (they were decade old tyres :P) and paid 26000 for a set of new michelin tyres.

Japan Tyres blue area is authorized dealer of michelin.

Official site says tyres are for 100$+/tyre how come you got 26k total..

Michelin specially European made feel very nice until the most usual thing happens with them which was common also with the softer series of yokos i.e. sidewall punctures / damages.
We have to drive on damaged and uneven roads pretty often so a compromise for a bit harder tyre mostly pays off. Continentals do hold until they are met with the severe mishaps which say a completely hard tyre like eurostar can still live with.

So which do you recommend?

I went yesterday for tyres and even though both japan tyres and discount tyres said one day ago that fresh Michelin are available but when i went there, japan tyre had 2015 tyre and discount tyre was out of stock. CC5 were also not available at both shops...
Kher Japan tyre gave me one week time.

i bougth xm2 from discount few months back and i fear that they might have smuggled tires since i got tyres with different manufacturing dates one pair with 1st week of 2016 and other 10th week of 2016 i inquired the saleman but he said these are imported this way but there was no sticker or stamp of local disrtibutor of michellins in pakistan which in many threads i found to be was some sheikh brothers or traders of karachi
else drive wise tyres are ok

How are michlein Xm2 going any reviews? I desperately need tyres now within 2 weeks current one are cracking now..How much you got them for? Is discount tyres good shop?

Michelin Energy XM2 are really good tyres, i am really happy with them, extremely soft and have no road noise.
i rate them 10/10. my old tyres were very old so 2 thousand EACH tyre was adjusted, with further negotiation i got 4 michelines for 26,000 thats 6,500 Per Tyre. Size is stock.

i bought them from Japan tyres blue area, on purchase the receipt was given of 50,000 Km or 2 year replace warranty upon any defect. i have previously bought tyres from the same shop so i can safely say japan tyres is the best of the lot in blue area.

i would say go for Michelin Energy XM2 with Stock size eyes closes. if you live in true islamabad (not the side skirts) you wont get any problems.

I live near bahria and use Islamabad highway always. Bro are you sure in 26k these tyres are not kabli? Japan tyres as per my info they are claiming themselves as authorized for michelin which is false.. Discount tyres are saying 7800 per tyre what do you suggest? what was manufacrure date of your tyres

On a side note, Japan tyre used to be authorized dealer of michlein but what i have heard is that authorized importer for Michelin is not importing any more so all Michelin available are either direct import or kabli. This is the reason Michelins are short in market especially the stock size. I was getting 195/65R15 for 29k with 4116, 4216, 4216, 4316 so went ahead with it. I bought in march so tyres were pretty fresh even if kabli. Though he kept saying that these are imported tyres

Personally i dont trust the discount tyre guy. He used to work with Japan tyre guy, in fact uska relative hai. When i went to discount, he kept insisting k ap gari to lagaen tyre change karte han phir kar lenge rate ka bhi and he was like ye tyre 100% genuine hai, jo jo fresh dates wala de rahe han wo sab smuggled han. I may be wrong but i have experienced that such extra marketing is always false marketing

The cheapest rate i got for 185/65/15 which i put on a car was 30k with 5516 date Michelin XM2. Was getting yokohama advan db same size with 4616 date for 28k from pindi tire saddar rwp.

So my final mind is Michelin Xm2 Energy Saver OR Yokohama advan DB or Continental CCC6 which ever i find fresh and in best condition. Blue area is very far from my home i will first find in Saddar if i can find a good shop, if no luck then blue area

AoA, I am using cosmic wax from last three months and it catches dust alot. Kindly suggest me some good wax (paste or hard) for black color and its price. Also anyone here used clay bars for detailing purpose??
Can I do it on my own or should be done by some professional??

After you have rubbed off the wax apply a semi wet cloth lightly ( so as not to leave marks of water) over the car to remove the electrostatic charge built during rubbing. That charge attracts dust alot.

Anyone can use a clay bar as long as he knows how to use it. But its not only the claybar that will make wonders. Paint correction is a complete step by step process.

Turtle hard shell or formula 1 paste wax, which is better for long term shine?? As the car is more than decade old and its paint is becoming faint and rough, thats why thinking of some detailing after Ramadan.

Cosmic is fine. No need to use any expensive waxes on unprepared surfaces.

But a prepared surface is one that has been washed, clayed, polished and sealed with a paint sealer.

Salam.... I am getting very low milage on cng just 60km with ac in karachi ..... Without ac would 72km just .... Car is civic 2002 vti oriel... Tell me some good cng mechanic for milage issue here in karachi thanks.....
