AoA, I am using cosmic wax from last three months and it catches dust alot. Kindly suggest me some good wax (paste or hard) for black color and its price. Also anyone here used clay bars for detailing purpose??
Can I do it on my own or should be done by some professional??

I personally use Turtle and it is the best. i think cosmic is waste of money. Claying is not something hard there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube

If its dull like mine. Search meguairs ultimate Compound on YouTube. It is best for our situation. Clay will only remove dirt not shine the color

Saw its tutorial on youtube. Its Rs1400 for 470 ml bottle. My question is :
Does this one bottle will be enough for whole car?
Can I apply it with hand or require some buffing machine?

Turtle hard shell wax not liquid, though it requires a little more effort

I will try to find if it is available cheaper and let you know

Anyways i am in same situation i will do by hand because Rotor is too costly. And professionals (carbographics) are charging 7k for compound + sealant = 12k which i think would be out of budget for an old car..

But my one friend compounded using hand (meguirs ultimate compound) and results were pretty good on black car. but the one who did beige passo results were normal. So i will try by hand after Eid it is in my to do list

Thanks alot for detailed reply. Yes the buffing machine is out of budget for me also and these detailing shops also charge alot. Saw the amazon link you posted where its price is $6 and shipping charges are $5 which equals nearly 1100 pkr. Still cheaper than what is stated at autohub.pk .Also buying from amazon means 100% genuine product. Just watched a youtube video where meguirs guy applied compound with help of applicator by hand and then cleaned it with microfiber cloth just as we wax our cars. Hope it helps. Also will try turtle hard shell from now which is atleast better than cosmic by reviews of many users.

It's the input shaft bearing for sure. I have the same problem on my 2005 Honda Civic Exi....mechanic says change the whole transmission. I'm just waiting to find a competent mechanic who can replace this rs2,000 bearing. There are detailed videos on you tube showing how its done on a honda civic.

thanks! i had same thoughts... mechanics are reluctant because you have to tear whole transmission apart as the ISB is on the other end. Any idea how much labour it costs and what are risks involved because mechanic will have to open whole transmission.

Lastly, how urgent is it to do something about it? can i keep driving with this tak tak sound or should i replace it asap? Vibration in clutch pedal at high speed under load could also be because of this

I have been driving like this for 6 months at least coz I'm too lazy lol...it should cost rs6,000 to rs8,000 in labour and bearing is rs2,000. Finding some mechanic who understands how to do it properly. ..priceless.

i am getting the same problem in my car, exactly the same thing.

when you press the clutch the noise goes away otherwise there is a very prominent discreet shhhhh sound.

i am getting great mileage thought and the car explodes with power so i suppose its not the clutch plate or pressure plate, i have been reading about it over the internet. will consult my mechanic yasir.

i also have same issue but noise isnt like "shhhhh" its "very very slight "Tik Tik" noise from some clutch baring and it goes away when clutch is pressed. I consulted several insano walay mechanics and they all asked me to not to worry about it and leave it as it is. I asked akash to replace it and he said replace to me krdu ga lekin its not worth it leave it as it is it wont do any harm and wont get significant either so m driving like this for above a year now and all is fine.

for people not finding mechanics to replace it either go to akash else there is the shop behind akashs shop "TAYAB AUTOS" tell him waleed sent me and he will replace it for you for 4500RS + Parts.

Guys aik bat pehle clear kar len sab k jo awaz clutch press karne se khatam ho jae wo clutch bearing ki nahi balkey gearbox bearing ki awaz hai.(aka Input shaft bearing)

My car is making tak tak sound under load, since it is the bearing making noise, how can we say k bas chalnay do aise hi koi masla nahi hogai?
Yes it has been 2 years since this sound but how is this possible that it is not damaging anything?

Bro the sound that goes away by pressing pedal is not from clutch bearing, its the input shaft bearing. All mechanics here miss-diagnose it. The clutch bearing engages only when clutch is pressed, if it issue is with clutch bearing, the noise should only come when clutch is pressed.
Even supervisor at honda 3s said wrong that its clutch bearing. Sab kam karvany k bad bhi noise isi lye nahi jati because its from ISB (gearbox)

@HellsGuardian there are two things which can happen, when if there is a sound from transmission coming and once you press the clutch the sound goes away its the INPUT SHAFT BEARING

if you transmission is not making any noise and once you press clutch it starts making noise is THROW OUT BEARING

i have been reading about alot lately, this has been the problem with 7th gen civic around the world, in america they had a recall and they replaced the bearing with a better quality INPUT SHAFT BEARING.

note that this bearing has a plastic wheel in it which holds the tiny bearings and upon load the plastic starts cracking and the bearing swivels as a whole resulting in sound when you are not pressing clutch, once you press the clutch the SHHHH sound goes away.

Yes that is also my understanding regarding ISB and TOB. Any idea why mechanics are saying aise hi chalny do? and if we keep running bearing with broken plastic cage, what damage it can cause? Is there any chance of transmission getting seized

Yes its input shaft bearing and you need to open tranny to fix it lekin in desi terms its called clutch wala bearing. Readarding fix, im least interested in getting it fixed as Ma two friends have exact same issue since 7-8 years on Vti varients and car runs fine.

In my case under load it does not make further noises. Like the rattling is very very low you cant even hear it unless car is in garage facing walls or you specifically notice k something is wrong.

I cant allow anyone to open cars tranny for a bearing which aint bothering me at all lol.

All owners recommend not to go for iridium ones for this model. Stock works just as fine
