You have asked very valid n interesting things, well I have a plan to sale my EXi Prosmatec not less than 9 lac 50K (my car is 100% genuine except bumpers) and that Reborn is 100% genuine (hardtop but Prosmatec) except bumpers.
So, the deal between me n my friend might end up somewhere 10.50 lacs to 11.50 lacs.
I am considering an upgrade bcoz my car is 7th Gen n will keep losing its value by every passing month least a matter how genuine in body i keep it as we already have 10th Gen in Pakistan.
That Reborn is Honda maintained n recently got its complete maintenance of 120K on the ODO. As per my understanding a car from a friend whom I know, how he has kept it over the years, where its been driven n its maintenance history worth the deal.
Selling off my car, adding some 1.5 lacs (P.S. I may not pay him all the cash in once and may do some installments too 
) and upgrading to 8th Gen won't be a bad deal - NO ?
Your other question : I think there is no as such difference to maintain 7th Gen or 8th Gen - as much i have been hearing both cost the same. Trust me a maintained 2006 won't be a pain, but yes general wear n tear n maintenance would be required and that i am doing on my 7th Gen too.
