umm.... personally I have taken my car to around 190 but never touched 200. Even if you are going to just race with it I don't suppose touching 200 should be your criteria. I mean your top-end speed depends on your gear ratios (as per my thin lean knowledge of car racing). So if you are into track racing then you would want to have something torqy and not worry too much about top-end. If you are into drag then again you need a torqy car that can get off the line quickly. I don't think in any racing scenario you would think too much about top-end speed ( unless you are racing at Monza
)
Now, as far as fuel consumption goes... I think I have already told you it is going to depend on how you drive. The Exi manual is much much faster than Gli, Xli 1.3, 2.0 D and swift 1.3 (with ac off
) comparable to Aspire 1.5 but not faster than 1.6 Altis or 1.8 Altis Grande. You can give them a run for their money because Civic 7th gen is generally more nimble compared to corollas and has a much better braking performance. The gear shifter is better placed in vti/exi and these cars generally have a lower center of gravity compared to corollas.
The vti on the other hand is faster than Exi and should be comparable to 1.6 altis. Both vti or exi automatics are slower off the line than their manual counterparts.
last but not the least... please do not go racing unless you are on a track and have taken appropriate safety precautions. Racing on streets will not just put your life in danger but also pose a danger to other people as well. It is better not to indulge in it if a proper venue is not available. Happy driving !
