Only use green packing Honda oem oil

Funny thing is this green packaging 5W-30 wasn't available at dealership last week. So I had to settle for the red one. It is shown on HACPL website so I'll try and order it before the next oil change and take it to the dealer.

tough luck....red packing 5w30 is total rubbish also available at total pumps.
PARCO products are absolutely rubbish.

5w30 Total is imported from Singapore.

Yes all engine oils are imported and none of them blended locslly even zic is imported doesnt mean its good.PARCO Total blends are compromised with bad quality ive learned it in my profession same is the case with hi-tech lubricants company and pso.

Total 5w30 is one of the best oils Ive come across in terms of user experience.

As you said the oil is not blended here. Its not a PARCO product.

You'll find two varieties of Honda ATF in the market:

Honda ATF DW1: This is the newer one that is synthetic and it's imported from Thailand. 1 Liter bottle will cost around 1,700/-.

Honda ATF Z1: This is the older version that Honda dealers and service centers are using. This one is imported from Indonesia and will set you back around 1,400 per liter.

Last year I changed the ATF at home and got DW1. Car needs around 2.8 liters so you are good buying 3 bottles. Later I had a chat with one of the engineers at local Honda Dealer. He insisted that I should change the ATF to back to Z1 (the older version) because DW1 messed up the ATF filter in his person civic and the shifts have become jerky. So after 10k km (at 60k km) I switched back to Z1 from the dealer.

yes the manual specifies ATF Z1 for civic prosmatic.

Did u change the filter too? from where to get the filter? any idea what 3S charge for changing the ATF?

Nope only the oil. Car's still running o original filter. Labor charges were 1400 I think.

at every 40k they replace all the oils plus car tunning for 7000 which is discounted to 3500 on fridays at my local honda dealership.

Yeah I know. Now that it's inside the engine, I'll drive a few hundred miles and then replace it with the green one.

I just bought honda civic 2007 reborn a month ago.
Car is working perfectly fine. But just a week before it gave me P0134 code which is an o2 sensor code and my milage droped down to 4.5 kmpl. I replaced the sensor and it worked. But again the same problem arises after one week. Then the garage guy checked and told me there is no CAT CON in your car,which is damaging the o2 senaor. which means it has been removed by the previous owner. Please advise should i remove the o2 sensor aswell so that it will not sense any increase air ratio or should i put a CAT CON in it. Please advise. I am tired of these machenics advices. Please share your experience. I am from karachi btw if any known person who deals with these probs.

You have to find a kabli Cat. Here is lahore, it costs around 20k from bilal ganj. New one costs around 84k, last i checked. Thats the only solution.

Here is also a market called sher shah, i’ll try to find a good kaabli cat in here . Someone also suggested me to remove sensor aswell so that it will not sense increased air ratio and give a good milage.

Few days back I have just bought Civic reborn 2012 manual transmission, 95,000km

problem is that when I rotate steering, with car stopped, it creates sound like (hmmm).

Even at speed of 30-40 kms it sounds while taking turn. May be at higher speeds it sounds, but I could not notice.

straight drive is no issue and car does not wobble or anything.

There is no seepage or leakage in whole engine room included power steering system top to down.

any ideas on probable cause...

NOTE - sound started when i took car from lahore to islamabad via motorway, speed 110/120 kmph, and fhere was no sound while driving inside lahore

Sounds like air in power steering system. Start the car, remove the power steering reservoir cap, ask someone to turn the steering and check for bubbles/foam.
