My reborn was giving satisfactory fuel average a while ago ~ 700 km ago, but after a change of air Filter ( Genuine by Honda Classic Dealership), the engine was throttled and average dropped to barely 7, 8 km/lit within Islamabad (Motorway, and 80% highway driving).
Changed the Air filter, installed aftermarket and engine response returned BUT fuel economy remained same ( 8 - 10 km/lit max) ~ 300 km ago..
Got it tuned (MAF cleaning, tappet, Throttle Body Cleaning, spark plug cleaning (NGK Iridium Tip 50,000 km used), Fuel Air mixture ratio reset by OBD Scanner) 100 km ago (yesterday)...
Now Problems experiencing after tunning:
high idle ( 900 rpm), excessive engine braking (car does not disengage gear when coasting), engine feeling heavy and not 1000% smoothly changing rpms, and average is still 8 km/lit on 90% Highway driving at 80 - 130 km/hr speed... .
What can be the solution?
1. ignition coil check? ( just got them changed 10,000 km ago).
2. or the car will reset itself within a week? (how many kms?)
Dont have CatCon and issue is sudden, related to only Current or Air flow in my opinion.
*When the coils were new, they gave good average.. and the average was good till installing Honda's Air filter.
**Fuel system checked entirely.
