Honda civic 97 D15 fuel average disaster!

Hi all,
Wanted help diagnose my fuel efficiency problem.
I have a honda civic 97 automatic with D15 engine giving me 6.5-7 kmpl with ac.. Also, im having a knock sensor error which when i bought the car had no CEL, only after ecu service that appeared; car was found to have no knock sensor. Are my fuel average issue and CEL related? Thanks

Get your car scanned first using an OBD2 scanner. Then share the error code

Its a code 23 i got it checked. Knock sensor error

Its not knocking sensors error its camshaft position circuit error

It gave us code 23 knock sensor it said. And when we looked it up the car the sensor was missing

That's the engine in case im naming it wrongly.

Your car is “teetar batair” and is using ecu, wiring and engine all from different cars.

Very common because in Pakistan most mechanics and electricians only see a spinning engine and say it’s working
