Two day's ago driving home on my way back from work, my car suddenly dropped the RPM and I could see an error on the MID, referring me to check the Emission system. The car had turned sluggish and I was only able to rev upto 2000 RPM and it wouldn't go any further than that.
When I reached home, I connect the ELM327 scanner through OBD2 and used Torque (application) to scan the ECU. Thus the error code I received is P1659, which is caused by ETCS circuit malfunction additionally caused by a failed relay.
Now that I've identified the issue, I'm having issues locating the ETCS relay on my Honda Civic 2013. I've checked the Fuse box in the Engine bay and can't identify which relay it is. However, while searching on google It looks like the ETCS relay is located in the cabin fuse box, under the steering wheel.
Can anyone please confirm if its located under the steering wheel or has anyone faced this issue with a 9th Gen Civic and if yes then what was the fix?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
