I am facing the same dilemma. I have 2.6mill but being in Karachi, I dont want to go for the 10th gen 1.8 oriel (want to fly below the radar sinc3 it is my life saving). I made up my mind for the 9th gen but lately reading and hearing a lot of criticism for the car.

I need honest opinion about the 9th gen. Is it worth going for? I dont like Corolla 1 bit due to the pathetic interior styling and the danger of being snatched/theft.

2.mill is a good amount of money for salarie individual. Seeking brotherly advice.

What radar? FBR? Excise? Thieves?

its best to stay low profile these days bro. In Karachi, parchi mafia, snatching etc. no issues with FBR as Alhamdulillah I regularly file my returns.

I am a user of 9th gen since 2014, 50k driven, personally i can only like the outer looks of 10th gen, the black interior, driving position are not as good as in 9th.

go for the 9th gen without any doubts.

Before I bought 9th Generation Civic, i was misguided about the suspension issue, fuel consumption and the possibility of hitting speed breakers, but after i drove it, all those things were found negative. I really enjoyed my civic and now i regret why i sold it
FYI it was giving me 16-17 km/liter on highway (with speed of 110).
locally in Islamabad the milage was 11-12.

ok. 1 question especially from Karachiites.. Which model is best to buy at this point? 2012-3 or 2015 or later. i am being offered a Dec 2013 UG package Oriel with 26k on the odo. the guy demanding 2.1 mill. on the other hand, 2015 models are available between 2.3-2.5 mill. i know the 9th gen will lose money in coming 2 years but on the other hand a newer car is newer.

so can anyone advise is it better to go for older model or newer?

So finally Alhamdulillah today i purchased my 2015 Honda Civic Prosmatec Oriel. Loving every single bit of it after using a hatchback for last 8 years.

One suggestion required. How to improve sound quality without replacing the factory fitted unit? It has the sat nav unit. Will only replacing the speakers would do or do i need any additional component with it? I m not much audio geek hence dont have much info on the subject. I m looking to spend a max of 20k on this.

Hi everyone, this week i bought used 9th gen civic oriel auto 33K driven in Lahore. I am concerned about the fuel consumption, it is giving me just 6-7km/l within city. Can anyone recommend a good workshop to have my ride checked?

The best way is to get all fluids and fllters replaced from Honda, i hope it will improve to 9/10 in city as per my own experience. Air filters has a major role in fuel economy before going for any big repair. 33k is almost new. enjoy your ride.

replace the stock speakers with some good ones
later add an amplifier and you ll be good
no need to change the stock nav.......you can easily hook up stuff to it
you ll just need the multimedia wire bundle from tracking world for the nav

if you are referring to the imid display average......that shows weird readings if the car idles alot, not used regularly or in extreme stop and go traffic.....calculate it manually........should be 8-9. anything above 8 is normal.

One more thing, my multimedia system isn't picking up DVD. Anyone know what is the solution?

Thanks for the reply Asfand. I have the wire bundle. But i will be replacing the 1st gen unit with 2nd gen next week. For speakers, any suggestions?

you have pioneer, jbl, inifinity, sony......if you want to spend more.....you can get focals....

you can get oem mats from honda.....not sure of the utility package stuff is still available or not.........they are around 5k I think......available separately
