i've purchased civic oriel pt one month back. And honestly i am very disappointed when it comes to ride comfort as compared to my previous 7th gen. Car is way too bouncy even on seemingly smooth roads. usually bounces alot when there is no one sitting on back seat. Plus im having issues with high speed stability. At approx 180 kph, it feels like the rear end doesn't want to go straight, it constantly sways left to right. Got alignment done from honda rawalpindi still no avail. Feels like that rear end doesn't have any grip.
im running continental comfort 5 (205/65/15)

bro u ever tried on stock tyre size 195/65/15 ?? cz i also have 9th gen civic didnt face any prob on high speed even on 195kmph

nope.. never went more than 120 kph on stock eurostars.. so u recommend its a tyre related prob..
and wht abt the bouncing.. have u experienced that with no passenger on back seat? in my experience if there are one or two people sitting in the back seat the car doesn't bounce..

bro i agree with you that car is bouncy ,,,,thts because of its stiff suspension , your car is almost new run ur car upto 10k kilometers u will notice bouncy thing gone , bushes and all the other parts will set together , after 3 to 4 months of driving u will start liking ur car very much and will forget ur 7 gen....

actually the thing is that when we spend our 2.4m hard earn money we expects so much , and the car is same CIVIC! just a new model .

There is no doubt 7th gen was a great car my first ride and my first love lol
I had two 7th gens one 2004 Oriel Prosmatec and one 2005 Exi prosmatec and loved both rides
Then upgraded to 8th gen later on and it was better than 7th gen in all aspects
Now have 9th gen civic and except for few things it is even better than 8th gen civic
And 7th gen is no comparison for it
if u compare ride comfort then 9th gen is so comfortable even more than my prev altis cruise tronic
But yes I have Michelin 215 / 60 /16 may be thts the difference but , higher profile and bigger rim size will make it a bit more uncomfortable and bouncy but it's very comfortable
More than both prev generations
About higher speeds yes it is the fastest stock civic yet here in pakistan But road grip isn't that good better than corolla altis and others but 8th gen had great road grip and engine roar
according to my experience 7th gen was way too bouncy on even slightly bumpy roads too

The things i really miss in 9th gen
Rear reading lights
Organ type accelerator paddle
Dual exhaust finishing tip
Interior color tone that is 9th gen and 7th gen both have same light interior shade foot board panels and seat belt console whereas reborn had dark black for these interior panels and it looked great difficult to maintain though

yup ...solution is always drive car with 2 passenger on back seat

Hi,

Can you please tell me what is the hidden setting. And please also tell me which resulation and format i can use with the indash navigation.

FINALLY, i have managed to turn off this stupid feature, i always thought that honda cant be so stupid to make this feature as permanent & yes i was absolutely correct.

there are hidden settings in the navigation system through you can enable the video playback during Drive mode. no need to do any modification.

thought i am not a big fan of watching videos during driving but happy to have this feature ON.

the car does have a very bouncy rear end when empty
if you go over a speedbump even with slight movement, you can defiently hear a duz when the rear tyres come off the bump.
i guess its made that way. So no worries
despite the rock solid suspension on the rear, the ride is still comfortable and nice

i cannot understand y honda discontinue the organ type gas pedal!, i still remember when 8 gen launched honda too much advertise and promote the organ type accelerator

dual exaust !!!! that was a very sporty look :)........ im missing n missing these things in my 9 gen

Yes the organ accelerator in my 8th gen is awesome I never feel tired

is there anyone who have tried evo or any other internet USB on in dash navigation? I have tried almost all of them but internet is not working on it. whats the solution? and any idea about its wifi card? only wingle is working in wifi mode but not on its in-dash screen
