have you cleaned EGR valve too ? if not then it can be one of the reason of knocking besides lower grade fuel.

Salam. I’ve just sold one of my two civic rebirths from my car porch. For all those asking about market, I sold the black 2015 oriel prosmatec UG(company fitted leather+nav) 70k driven and smelt like a zero car, didnt even have a scratch on its bumper, let alone repaints (Alhamdulillah) for 26.50.
The thora sa masla I’m facing with the second one (which’s a 2013 manual) is that it’s rpm will not be normal on motorways. Show’s me 2.6k or 2.7k on 95-100 and if I go and hit 110, rpm exceeds a little over 3.2k LET ALONE 120 which makes me sad everytime I travel on long route. I’ve cleaned CAT waghera since its a known issue with this gen but no clue kia scene hai iska. All in all, I’ve lost hope lol.

Mere bhai....ABS is abbreviation of anti-lock breaking system which means that the system dont let the tyres jam in case of hard braking because once the wheels are jammed during breaking....u cant steer the car left or right and the car keeps on moving in the same direction where it was before breaking. So here comes ABS, it keeps ur wheels rotating so that u can steer left or.right to avoid collision but on the other hand it keeps on slowing ur speed by continuously knocking on wheel discs. Thats why u hear knock sound when ABS engages.

Remember ABS only engages when tyres slip or jams due to breaking.....it might start working on slippery roads even if u break with a light foot.

Hope u understand this technology and its use.

Hello All,

i am facing vibration issue on acceleration honda civic 2014, i have gone through some articles and people have complained it, also i went to Sugoi honda outlet and as per them it was a manafacturing fault in this model and that time honda replaced the comple axel shafts free of cost.

i know the inner cv joints have worn out but advise where can i find them in Lahore. i talked to a guy in Bilal Gunj and he is asking 5K for joints so just need your expert advice if anyone has gone through and total expense.

No sir . Changed egr every sensor almost changed no luck car knocks as same as before. No luck on any additives as well and fuel filter is already changed

5K is the right price for the inner CV joint which is in good condition and doesnt cause problem and taken out of the orignal car. you can get it replaced and hopefully vibration issue while accelerating will be fixed.

Congratulations brother but have you got the windscreen checked, since there is no PDI OK sticker it can be replaced, but replacement is fine as long as its original screen.

I agree with you that 2016 model is most refined model in this generation. I have this car and enjoying a lot ,i have not been faced a single issue in these years. It is not always guarantee that a few years old car's meter has been reversed. I have driven my car 30,000 km till day. Obviously, Although Honda maintenance record is evidence. But car with low mileage speaks itself , Exterior and interior quality always smell like a brand new car of a low mileage vehicle. My yearly drive is less than 10k. As per this proportion i will complete 100,000 km on my civic in 2027.

Basically the car was bought for a family member out of lahore as they were in Lahore yesterday i checked the windscreen and to my bad luck it is replaced, nice thing you caught . And the windscreen is not honda genuine. It was some other company. But there are no signs of any kind of accident on the front or on the pillars or anywhere.
