Honda Civic accident

Few days ago one of my dear friend had an accident ,he was with his son .luckily both survived the accident but the car is all damaged .
What happened was that they driving on lahore Islamabad motorway .the guy was driving at speed of 100 kmph . While suddenly driving he realised that in front of them another accident of two cars had taken place a few moments ago . He quickly applied the brakes but the car instead of stopping started to lurch towards sideways .since the car didnot stop .it hit the divider between motorway and crop fields . The air inflators didnot work although his car overturned . According to him the car safety system and brake system completely failed .rest I will let the pictures do the talking .
P.S. kindly don’t make this Honda fanbois vs Honda haters thread .talk with logic .all quality of Pakistani cars sold uptil now is same

I bet even young kids know about quality and safety features of our local cars.
However, we must also not overlook the driver’s experience or capability to handle this particular situation.

If they were actually traveling on Motorway, then I assume seats belts would have been engaged

airbags must have being engaged if seat-belt placed or not as in old cars seat belts were linked to airbags not in new cars

Okay here goes nothing. Brother, clearly you are very new here and don’t understand the essence of Pakwheels Forums. The thing is, you create a thread about:
An accident your friend met on Motorway at 100 KMPH after “applying brakes” of his 9th Gen Civic, indicating substandard quality of Pak Assembled Local Cars in general.
I could sound very inconsiderate had I alleged he might have been driving under the influence, texting on his mobile or just a lame driver who was actually doing 150 KMPH. No sir, I chose to keep assumptions at bay, pay heed to what you posted and felt sorry for whoever was in that car.
I mean what’s the point of cluttering a section of the forums with something that has been discussed infinitely and which even my 8 year old son knows. What contribution do you think this thread has brought to the table until now?
Being a new Pakwheeler, go through historically informative threads, learn and then post. Additional, if you still don’t understand I’ll be more than happy to provide you my cell number, meet you in person and settle the issue the old fashioned way outside Pakwheels.
P.S: It’s airbags not air inflators as you have mentioned in your opening post.

From pictures no. 5, 9 & 10 (from top) i can assume that car initially crashed sideways to some pole or pillar and then rolled over. Thia car is equipped with only front 2 airbags and no side airbags so that can be the reason that airbags didn't deploy (front end seems fine).

2ndly it seems that either the car was at alot higher speed to have such damage or if it was only 100 km/h then the brakes would have been applied really late. As even 100-150 meters braking distance should have easily brought down speed to 50 km/h. And this much speed can't do such a damage to the car.

I also this post on pakwheels fb page and glad to know that driver and his young son both are safe with injuries.

Rather than posting things here to create misunderstandings and then start bashing war without understanding the actual intensions of the members.

I would advise the effecties to launch a law suit to Honda Atlas and fight there....

Apart from Honda Faults.... there will be different point of views of diff memebers so please don't start a war here.

I would advise you to carefully read and listen to Toyota Grande Owner manual CD as well as Honda Airbag instructions regarding airbags deployment conditions and then asses yourself whether it was a fault at Atlas end or the conditions did not met...

What you want from us?

The pics shows that the car collided sideway to the divider and then rolled over....
Front looks intact from one side to the other seemless i.e. lights , grill and bonet intact, no hitting from the front along with bumper guard strip which is usually so soft that it just twisted off from center due to bumper getting apart during roll over.

Now extract what you like.

I personally feel sorry and sad for this accident and thanks God for saving the life of a Father and a Son being myself father to a single son

Pakwheels has been filled with immature kids who get offended at the slightest of arguments neither do they have the ability to understand sarcasm or logic or simple Physics. They also lack general respect and dont bother to see whether the next person is senior to them or not. Mostly are Papa ki Reborn wali awaam.

A sad state of affairs for a platform that has seen some good days.

The owner is busy in 'BRV k Sung' paid promos while kids flood his website.

I've been lurking around here for years and just signed up a couple months ago. The lack of moderation around these forms is mind boggling which just clutter things up with the same questions being asked day after day after day. And then some (silly arguments like above )

Full disclosure: I’m just as human as anyone else. Being an old Pakwheels member with one odd informative thread under my belt (not more), I see so much cluttering in forum sections with irrelevant questions and decades old gripes and undercover intentions of sale/ purchase etc which ruin the purpose for which at least I visit them.
It could be my fault alone or maybe I’ve grown obsolete or my inability to cope with the much evolved Pakwheels forums. I understand the need for promotions and business but maybe being an old timer I miss the family of Pakwheels forums. Back in the day I literally knew each person active then. Dear @dakoon I may have come down hard on you for which I sincerely feel sorry if you’re hurt.

For the Pakwheels Administration and All Mods:
Please Create another section if possible where people should create awareness or repeat/ bash about / vent out whatever they have to say about ANY car especially PKDMs. It may also include the wish lists which will serve as a very potent feedback platform for car makers, NEW CAR MANUFACTURERS/ ENTRANTS, where a subject could be repeated over and over. Trust me sirs, it won’t take more space but at least forums will be clearly categorised. I’m placing this request on Site Feedback. I’d request all of the readers to please participate and back it up for the greater good.

The main impact is towards the side of the car not front, so that's why the airbags didn't deploy ?
